I figured that Sun was a Siren, a Banshee, or some other Yokai who's voice would have some kind of psychological or physical effect on any living creature. I didn't really buy that "She's just she so she writes notes." excuse, i've read and seen too many stories of people with special vocal abilities who would stay silent and come up with some sort of excuse to stay silent. This chapter seems quite interesting, but very confusing at the same time until a translation is made available.

It seems like the manager's husband was killed (and partially eaten) by another Siren, whom I am guessing was part of Fairy Tail. I wonder if the Manager will still have her close relationship with Sun remain intact since she now knows that Sun is also not only a Yokai but also a Siren. And I wonder if Sun will get in trouble for revealing her Yokai form in front of the Manager? Oh, and good riddence to that asshole Takahashi.

From what I could gather, the other siren works in the same department of Fairy Fail as the guy who plays the song that kills normal people...the guy that captured Gin.

The next chapter should have some sort of action.

Oh by the way Gin didn't get beaten, he let himself get captured so he could be taken to where the boss is...although obviously the boss has already gone to the inn. I'll get the last 12 pages done tomorrow, I promise.

I so agree to that, but that really isn't the main conflict of season II.
Conflict of season I is Tsukune has to find a way to survive Youkai Academy.
Conflict of season II is choose his girl I think. Sorry to get off topic.
I really though Gin would put up a fight and not get caught on purpose. Nothing interesting happened except that 'God' showed up. He is going to get beat up by everyone since his powers aren't working against Sun's power.

I think the realistic drawing style is making it less enjoyable. It's better for use in serious situations such as when battling or when Tsukune becomes a ghoul but it sort of takes the fun out of the whole awkward teen romance thing.
It would be interesting if they put in more realistic teen situations, such as having a school dance and Tsukune has to decide who to be with. Although it would end up with someone getting kidnapped like it always does. Also, when was the last time Moka sucked Tsukune's blood?
I think this chapter looks good. I haven't really been too interested in Sun's story so far. Hopefully this will make things a bit more interesting.

I've got exams coming up too. And I still manage to get every chapter I translate out within a day or so of the raw becoming available. The work station thread was posted on the 8th. It took a day for anyone to even start cleaning it, and 3 days before 8 pages were done. It was even a high quality raw to start with so it should have been easier.

I know I'm sounding bitchy but when I work overtime to get the translation out within a day of the raw being available it's a bit of a slap in the face to have it sitting around for a whole week while the cleaning goes really slowly.

More romance definitely. Not fanservice, that will just put me off. Or make the fighting far more intense. Fewer long winded speeches by villains before battle when Moka's already ready to fight.
Also, when was the last time Moka transformed? It seems she doesn't do anything anymore. Life threatening situations deepen the romance because Tsukune normally ends up getting badly injured and everyone worries about him. That's when interesting situations arise ;)

Good chapter, and amusing that Tsukune gave his opinion on each of the girls' swimsuits. But a few things I had noticed in this chapter:

1. The translator mentioned Gin's accent in this chapter. What kind of accent does Gin have? Is it the 'Osaka accent' that gets brought up in some Anime and Manga? Or is it another type of accent?

2. It looks like that Siren Kamiya ate the Husband because he was angry with his relocation and thus took his anger out on him (and many other human locals) at the time, seemingly by hunting them and eating them. Let's see how well he holds out against a 1 on 1 fight with a Skaarj.

3. It's a shame that Sun will have to leave the caretaker Marin, since Sun saw her as a mother. But why does she have to leave Marin? Is it a rule/law of the Dark Lords?

i think its more of a personal choice.

I think its more that Sun asumes that Marin dont want to have her around anymore now that she knows she is not only a monster, but the same kind of monster that ate her hubby. Its quite possible things wont turn out like that and Sun can stay. Its pretty obvious that atleast some of the rest of the gang will have to also show that they are non-humans and possible also point out that not all monsters are bad.

It may actualy be a good idea if Tsukune doesnt show off and claims that he is a human friend of the monsters. Him actualy being turned into a monster isnt exactly reasuring for a human :catman: It would be realy funny if he hugs inner Moka to show that the scary monster wont bite and later pay for that liberty with some pain in the next training session, well even more fun if Moka is happy about it :)

It's Kansai-ben (which includes the area in Osaka). He was coming up with some really out there words such as turning kumu (join) into kumukacchuunen.

I admit I had to refer to wikipedia for a some of the kansai specific words such as akan instead of dame (meaning bad/no good). They don't usually teach things like that at university and I only spent about a week and a half in the kansai area when I was travelling there. Still if you just strip away all the excess syllables then you can see what the meaning of the word is.
