this is an amazing manga for everyone who love manga read this and u will thank me later it is one of the best this short introduction about the
manga :

In a medieval world, villages are being attacked by the youma, demons that can take the appearance of their victim. The only people who can stop them are the Claymore, a group of young women named for the swords they use. They are half-human, half-demons who, mostly unwillingly, became Claymore.

I agree, it's one of my all-time favourites :D
Some time ago it stopped showing up (I don't remember the reason, probably mangaka was sick, or he was gathering new ideas) and I thought it's already gone, but it's back :D It's a pity it is only one chapter per month :/ but better that than nothing. I hope it will get back to main plot soon I want to see main characters in action again :D (don't want to spoil anything ;))

It's really good. This is one of my favourites (beside One Piece, Tsubasa, xxxHolic, Fairy Tail, Mx0, Kekkaishi and few more). It's really worth reading XD And it's not hentai, although I wouldn't have anything against :p

Wanted to know if there is a name for #3. I like manga on its own but its really cool in the video form with the added songs and such. I have all the anime from Eclipse. I have all but the first 20 of the Manga/vids. For some reason I like the manga/vids the best. I got 22-75 of the manga vids off Veoh. Claymore is Shonen? I would of though that with the blood, guts, and nudity it would of been more seinen. Although the scenes in which there is nudity, are far and few between each other.

@loki-sama claymore is a seinen...I guess Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claymore_(manga)) is wrong, because they have Claymore as Shonen.

Besides it's being released in Jump Square, which is a Shonen (If I'm correct).

Galatea should be able to grow her arm back, she is defensive type after all...and she should have been able to heal from whatever blinded her, so most likely she did it on purpose for some reason...

Right now she doesn't have chance of being any use in bigger battles without eyes and with only one arm.
I don't think she is able to regenerate an whole arm like Deneve did.
Deneve did it mostly because she's "half-awakened." *
I think that if she is to survive she would become some kind of information source about the organisation and stuff like that.

I miss Irene. Where art thou my beloved Elf-ear?! :(

Something tells me Raki is going to be completely different once he and Clare are reunited. I mean, he has been training under Isley, and Priscilla practically loves him...

I really doubt he's not going to be a monster or at least have some crazy abilities for a human by the time he makes his debut again.

The only ability he'll have is the ability to cry a river, and then drown in it. I'm not a big fan of Raki (if you can't tell), he's just a glorified supporting cast member. What would be interesting though, is if they make him a Claymore (slim, but it would be neat to see).

As for Raphaela and Lucelia, something tells me there is more to the story. We didn't see them officially die, and a lot of times that means a return might be in order.

I really don't care for Raki at all, but I can definitely see him playing a bigger role than just the little boy who showed Clare how to be human again. It wasn't coincidence that he ended up with Isley... It sets up a perfect scenario for Clare to find him when he goes looking for Priscilla, or vice-versa.

No doubt the leaders are probably Yoma or something like that. One thing we still don't know, is how does someone become a Yoma? It was hinted at that Raki could have become a Yoma, but I think that would probably be just superstition...

Not to mention that all the leaders either cover their eyes, or those that we do see have a weird look about them. You also see the veins protruding from the main guy's head at the headquarters when he talks.

I think clare,miria,deneve,helen and the weak one will stay Claymores but the other two will awaken. The weak one will propably play a bigger role. (She resembles someone but I don't know who)

Well , I think they let raki meat up with priscilla and isley to let him actually know what and who priscilla is. And I don't think raki will be strong enough to protect claire against those yoma with only his human powers, unless he's fighting normal humans. Unless he also injects a yoma inside him and becomes like clare.

The storyline of the anime follows the manga only to episode 20 or so. Clare never fought priscilla.

About the anime: They did not know what to do, cause they couldn't bring up a story which differs to much from the manga. They wanted an ending which is able to be continued with minimal changes. However at that point they failed. Clare shouldn't meet pissy and raki shouldn't travel around with her.

Do you think they'll make season 2 like they once said or will they give up ??

The language in itself, like vocab and grammar aren't that difficult actually.

The most difficult thing is like I said the japanese alfabet. (katakana and hiragana shouldn't be THAT difficult, they aren't easy either. The difficult part should be the kanji.

My friend who's following Japanese for 5 months now can understand like 50% of the Japanese already and has learned the hiragana and katakana, though still has difficulties. At the end of the year, he should be able to read hiragana, katakana, furigana and 75% of the spoken Japanese.

But as for the Kanji's, he told me he will have to learn them next year and there are over 30000 kanji's.

I wouldn't know about that since I'm not a Japanese.

But as someone from India, I would say that I don't really got problem speaking German, dutch, English, Indian languages, (french is a bit difficult though, since I forgot almost everything of it xD, but I understand 60% of it, but technically speaking it isn't really a big problem)
And I don't think I would have problem speaking Japanese if I could understand it better. at the moment I understand 30-35% of it(long live anime :P).

I also learned German from watching german subbed anime's on my satelite TV, 7 years ago we had no cable and had to watch satelite for 3 years, and there was only german TV. But since I spoke Dutch and English and German looks hella lot like those 2 , I picked up German quickly.

You know how your parents say that TV has no good things about it. But I have to say to that that I learned 2 languages (German and Japanese) from TV and perfected 2 (Dutch and English)

I've always felt that the artwork was rather poor for the month long wait in-between chapters. He usually has lots of white space, rough or grainy edges, and often times leaves whole faces blank with the exception of a mouth.

I say if the mangaka is going to release once a month then he should up the quality or give us more quantity and pick up the pace.
