Whose your favorite character?

So, i'm kinda curious. Whose your favorite (or least favorite) anime/manga character? I'll start with mine.

Favorites:

1. Yoshimori (kekkaishi) - strong and a good heart. i'm just hoping that his drive for power doesn't corrupt him like it does to other main characters out there. and his dream of a cake castle is a great way to lighten up the story.

2. Kuro/Fai (TRC) - mostly a kuro fan, but the way these two interact always gets me to laugh, so i have to put them together.

3. Nel (Bleach) - powerful, smart, and sexy...the only reason she isn't ranked higher is cause she's so new and i'm worried she'll become an enemy eventually.

Least Favorites:

1. Watanuki (xxxHolic) - this kid drives me NUTS. i really don't get why he does some things and his over-emotional reactions come out of no where (he almost has the mood swings of a girl :p)

2. Lucy (FairyTail) - she's WAY out of her league in FairyTail. i really hate the chicks that are thrown into stories just for eye candy. maybe if she actually proves to be useful for a major fight, i'll change my mind about her.

3. MisaMisa (DeathNote) - read Lucy rant.

Hmm, I think you're way off base on Lucy honestly. If you think of her as the actual main character in FT (which she is) its easier to compare her to characters like Naruto or Ichigo; ie, of course she's weak at the beginning, but she's growing, and eventually she'll be at the level of her companions.

my favorites:
Monkey D. Luffy (One Piece): Really, the entire One Piece cast, since their interactions are what I really love, but Luffy is what every hero should be; truly heroic. He may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he knows what's important. (Insanely cool fighting styles don't hurt either).

Zarakai Kenpachi (Bleach): kk, now for the anti-Luffy. I like him because he's both simple and complex at the same time. A driving need to be the best, and yet he inspires an incredible level of loyalty from his subordinates. The flashback of him finding Yachiru still chokes me up when I watch it.

Erza (Fairy Tail): Easily my favorite female shonen character. Insanely powerful, and absolutely loyal to her friends.

Hiruma Yoichi (Eyeshield 21): Another complex character, similar to Kenpachi in fact. Demonic in appearance and behavior, his true self is shown very subtly at first, slowly revealing the real reasons he inspires such absolute loyalty in his team. Some of the moments when the mask slips are some of the most moving moments in manga history imo.

whew, I could write about favorite characters all day. Going to take a few to think of my least favorites.

Hmm favorites

1. Zoro (OP),Its a tough call but less and less tough as one piece grew into my #1 fav spot, Zoro. Hes just plain awesome, he is the epitome of what awesome is.

2. Shikamaru (Naruto), Lazy intellegent. It was what i used to be in a way (well i was inntelengent not super genius but i was like pretty up there in marks), and i'm lazy (which i still am if not more now). His character and personality was something that i've always felt for.

3.hmm this is a really tough call, hmm, Light (death Note). That crazy i'm gonna be the new god talk. I don't know he was a facinating character and by the end i wanted him to suceed. However This reasoning is also why Enel (OP) is like tied in this spot with him.

Don't like

1. Sasuke (naruto), thats an easy call. bassically he's a jackass, And i've wanted him to die for a long time

2. ishida (bleach), i guess. Well he's similar to sasuke i guess, to I immeadatly didn't like him, and Still don't really care for him (him having same Seiyu probably didn't help either xD)

3. Kohaku/Sango (inuyasha). Kohaku is like super emo and it is really annyoing how retarted they are about his past.


A couple of them i just thought up on the fly. And if i thought longer i could think of more. Altohugh i will say this for sure Hiruma (ES 21) his backstory part 2 i was assigned as my first typeset ever, And at that point i had never even looked at an ES 21 chap before. His character in that singlehandely made me start reading ES 21, and probably once i get caught p and read more es 21 hiruma will overtake many people on he list as one of my faves.

Hmm, well I cant really post my tops in any real order, so i will just put them in alphabetical order, that way it is fair:
Liked:
Guts(Berserk):What can I say, he really is the man, case closed.

Ilpalazzo(excel saga):Hail Lord Ilpalazzo, he is just really cool

Ippo(Hajime No Ippo):I can relate to him actually, I used to be a boxer when I was little, and I myself was bullied, not that I boxed because of it, but I knew that if I wanted I could have stopped them, But I like him because he is a real life character, and he really is genuine, you really do feel for the guy, and get happy when he wins.

Mugiwaraboushi Kaizoku's(One Piece):I mean come on, its the straw hat crew, they all have there place, and they have one in my heart as well.

Piccolo(Dragon Ball Z):Started off evil, Ended as one of the coolest heroes of all, there is something to be said for self sacrifice

Vegeta(Dragon Ball Z):See Above, also He is the freaking prince of a dead planet, he had a right to be arrogant, and besides, all he ever wanted was to get revenge for his people, so was he really ever "evil"?

Dislike:A much shorter list

SASUKE: You all know why

Any really annoying character that is just placed there as the "comic relief", they just take away from the good stuff

-Kira (Yagami Light) (Death Note)- how often do u see such wicked, evil and clever main character eh? i actually wanted him to win but i knew it was impossible ><

-Monkey D. Luffy (OP)- he's just hilariously stupid...i love the pushing-back-zombie-into-the-ground part lol..i actually laughed on for more than 5 minutes after reading that page

-ONIZUKA EIKICHI!! (GTO)-:banana::banana: WELCOME'S TO ONIZUKA'S LESSON TO BE A MAN!!

-Kanzaki Urumi (GTO)- i love Urumi X Onizuka the most!!

-Gatts/Guts (Berserk)-no need to explain for this i believe..

-Nishino Tsukasa (Ichigo 100%)-man i love her personality VERY VERY MUCH! the "perfect" girl for me:D

-Munsu (Shin Angyo Onshi)- What can i say? A bad-ass and REALLY manly character...got Onizuka and Gatts genes in him

-Balsa (Seirei no Moribito Anime) -more like...i like her seiyuu ALOT!...man REALLY talented seiyuu

-Ippo (Hajime no Ippo)- he taught me what is determination and hardwork lol..

-Takamura(Hajime no Ippo)-f**king hilarious LOL...and strong too...and he can be serious when he needs too...man i wana see him OWN 6 classes of world champion:D

-Train Heartnet(Black Cat)-like him...especially his gun...

-Kuzumi Taiga (mx0)-just sooooooo hilarious lol..his misfortune, his acting of being cool, his facial expression

Dislikes:
-Sasuke, Naruto, MisaMisa, Ichigo (dont even wana start bashing coz if i start i wont stop)

Lets see favs:
Akira (Hikaru No Go) - He kinda reminds me of me. That quite person that really has no friends their own age and then some loud guy comes along and pulls him into real life wether or not he wants to go.

Kaworu (NGE) - Theres just something about the guy. He was only there for an episode but he's my fav from the show. I guess I have a soft spot for tradgic characters.

Roy (Full Metal Alchemist) - He might be annoying at times and hates to work but he cares about the people around him more then he lets them know and works to keep them safe as much as possable.

Anime :
1. Kuchiki Byakuya. Not much to say. He's very calm and cool
2. Yoshimori. Of course, he's cool yet still a middle-schooler. I like this type really much.
3. Sagara Sousuke. What can I say about him. It's fun to see his combination with Kaname.

Manga :
1. Kuzumi Taiga. A funny main char. Known as the strongest, but actually can't use any magic at all. His 'funny-face' is really funny ( ^-^.)
2. Hyogo Kanbayashi. A very naive (Male) main character from Tokkyuu!!. A type to act before think.
3. Zorro. Another character with 'calm and cool' type. Especially when he defended luffy from Kuma. Absolutely cool.

1.Goku (DBZ)- all time heroe XD
2.Nike and Ikki (AirGear) - I liked Sora while he was pretending to be a good guy but then Nike came and he was always evil and he looks cool XD I don't want him to win but i still like him.
3.Kintaro (GoldenBoy) - strong, smart ,kind but also perverted XD and he's not showing off.

Dislike Naruto...I don't dislike Sasuke. He has a plan and he's executing it. I think he planned on killing Orochimaru the very moment he decided he will train with him.

Harima Kenji -school rumble- stupid,Strong, but with good vision of life and only love one girl....even though he is suprisingly popular.

Hanamichi Sakuragi -slam dunk- Stupid But have strong will and great talent

Niijima Haruo -HSD kenichi- Really smart and funny.... can plan big things. he has the face like an alien......

Kurono Kei (Gantz): Later on hes just awesome.
Yagami Light, aka Kira (Death Note): Haven't read or watched it, do it now!
Hidan (Naruto): Seriously the coolest guy ever.
Michael/Baroona/Ares (Ares): Had to put these together, all of them just owns.
Oboro (Utawarerumono): Loves his 2sword fightingstyle.
Kurogane (Tsubasa Reservoir Cronicles): What can I say, I absolutly love cool swordwielders.
Ichigos inner hollow (Bleach): Pew pew pwn.
Mainchargroup (Id): Love the whole groupsetup.

Ikari Shinji (NGE): Anyone who have seen NGE knows wy...
Kenishi (HSDK): **** him, seriously.. Hope he dies a slow and painfull death.
Sai and Naruto (Naruto): Hate em both, they irritate me to no end.
Simca (Air Gear): Hmm what to say.. I just feel a great recentment whenever I think about her, she litterally discusts me to the point I'd like to vomit.

My list of favorite characters changes all the time, but there is basically one general rule that makes a character my favorite: character development. I'm a fantasy author and I can't stand stagnant characters. My favorites list could go on for quite a while, so I'll limit it to 10.

Hmm..I'm happy that I met these characters....

1.Nami(OP)-she's very smart and is good at drawing map but she is a gold digger..She is not really comfortable with those people who are dumbass.
2.Monkey D. Luffy(OP)-he is very strong and does not give up easily,very persistent but not stubborn,happy-go-lucky,funny and is always cares about his nakama when they're in trouble but so far..is always spoils food=meat..
3.Natsu & Lucy(Fairy Tail)-thy're team makes the Fairy Tail strong...
4.Other Luffy Pirates...(StrawHats-One Piece)
5.Inoue Orihime(Bleach)-i like her coz she's smart and has a good personality but weak even though she's like that it does not mean she is not much of a help of Ichigo and the others..
6.Haruno Sakura(Naruto/Shippuden)-she's like Tsunade and is very strong and pretty smart...
7.Inuzuka Kiba-he has this cute dog and has great techniques..

Horo from Spice and Wolf is my favorite character right now. She has a great personality, intelligent, and strong but still retains sweetness for those who she cares about.

Asa Shigure from shuffle! is anther favorite for similar reasons to Horo.

Kotomi from Clannad because I love smart kind women. She is one of those girls who may be shy but once she opens up to you it would be hard not to like her.

Kuzumi Taiga (Mxo): just watching him think up a new excuse on the spot for why he isnt using magic or why he has just 'intentionally' groped someone is good

light yagami (death note): i relaly thought he was awersome and if he didnt have a bit of an ego trip at the end im sure he could have pulled it off :( but man was he smart.....and yes he still makes the list even though his last name nearly spells 'i am gay'

koinzell (Ubel Blatt): This guy is absolutely awersome. he kicks arse in his spare time....and when he isnt killing somone he has women lining up 2 have sex with him well maybe not lining up but they are pretty keen haha. probably my fav character atm and if you ahvent read the manga i urge you to even though it is coming out at random times but theres still enough for you to agree with me lol

and now for the job of awarding the 5 i hate most

near& mello (death note): i believe ganging up is cheating and near should receive the death penalty as a result lol.

Kato (gantz): sorry kato lovers but seriously this guy has been in the game for how long now? he has died and been brought back and he has only fired his gun once i mean come on and has anyone noticed that the majourity of talking when he is involved is essentially useless stuff cause there is no way you can win gantz in a non-violent manner (sighs) i guess one day he'll learn

naruto& sasuke (naruto) one reckons hes the maddest dude around and the other guy wont shut up or grow up seriosuly between the 2 of them they manage 2 annoy me to no end
