In order to get a bit more activity on the board and get a bit less of our discussion in a single thread I'll be creating threads that you can discuss the seperate chapters in. I could do the same for the anime if you want, although I don't actually watch it myself for obvious reasons.

Thanks to GrrDraxin for the raws we have 2 extra chapters as a special treat until chapter 15 comes out. I'll post links to the scans when they become available.

It's interesting to see the proto-type chapter as a "what if" scenario. I wonder if Tsukune would have eventually ended up becoming part vampire if the storyline had been set primarily in the human world.

Man, I am *VERY* glad that the prototype chapter was scrapped. It was so dull, dumb, and uninteresting that if I read that in the actual series I'd never return to it again. It just seemed like a typical high school/harem series with a vampire thrown in. Yeah, like I haven't read something like that before. At least with the current series the story is more interesting with a human trying to blend in with a school with everyone in it a monster (and not only vampires). Sure, at first the characters and story seemed a bit....clitche at first, but it's evolved past that (though the girls constantly fighting over Tsukune is starting to really get on my nerves). In fact, Tsukune has kicked ass when he needed to so he's not entirely a weak male lead like in many harem stories.


Also, at the end of the chapter how is it that those 2 weren't able to remember much? If I got my ass kicked by a vampire, I'd certainly remember and tell everyone! It'd be too tricky to keep Moka's vampire nature a secret if her Rosary was removed. Well.....maybe if Yukari was introduced and if she was still a wtich, she could probably remove people's memories but that would also be boring and clitche, as well as an easy way out.

agreed. im much happier with what we have now as aposed to the pilot. the crow chapter was quite amusing :D i hope someone chooses to typeset it. i might have used the wrong word... oh well.
