Eyeshield -- i really should get into this series. Only managed to watch the anime and read just a few chapters of the manga.

we should release more chapters of this series and see what happens. We need more members interested in it(cleaning) though!!

Like fiendish, I became a ES fan after I typeset chapter 249 and I said "I really need to get to know this Hiruma guy". Now I'm all caught up and I have to say it reminds me of Ippo, only with much better writing. Hiruma is one of the most fascinating characters I've run across. Not only is he an absolute blast to cheer for, but he still has the power to be quite moving in some of his more serious moments.

(and am I the only one pulling for Hiruma X Mamori?)

i love this series. ive only seen a little of the anime, though, and it didnt seem that good..am i wrong on that? should i watch more of it? the character development is great, especially senas. and comedy? hiruma rules all.

I haven't read any of the manga but I've seen the first 50 odd episodes of the anime and I have to say I'm really enjoying it so far.
I wasn't sure I would as I know next to nothing about Americian football but the characters are so loveable that I've been sucked right into it.

devilbats break the ultimate prediction by scoring a touchdown before the half or was it before the end of the first quarter. Anyways Monta has won one battle against Hojo's son but we have yet to see Sena finally get through with his Speed.

the latest chapter made me sad, it's not like with Oujou where they at least had a minute to score, and it was their attack, they have like 18 seconds to get 10 points, it's pretty much impossible for them to win...

well, because at that time, I had finished reading up to the current chapter of the manga, and so I didn't want to watch the long drawn out battle with Oujou, so I skipped it. ^^

they kind of exaggerated the Oujou battle with Deimon in the end of the anime, so I didn't want to finish watching it...

So the World Cup arc is going quickly, but the final Game is about to begin. Hopefully it won't be 28 chapters long like the Teikoku game was. A shorter section would be great, that way it won't take half a year for one game to end.

On that note, has there ever been any romance at all in ES21? As far as I watched the anime, and I'm not up to date with the anime, but still I remember not seeing any romance at all. There were a few times Mamoru was teased saying she liked Hiruma, but that's about it.

I was so sad that it ended, but I was really glad that they're all still playing football in college. ^^ I find it awesome that it's not going to be Hiruma vs. Sena, instead of them being on the same team again. ^^ But I thought that I was going to split my face in half with the grin I had on when Hiruma referred to Maamori as Mamori nee-chan, even if as a joke, cause the only thing he ever called her before was f*cking manager, so seemed to have progressed somewhat beyond that. ^^ I love that Mamori is on Hiruma's side and not on Sena's anymore, and she even said that even if it was Sena, they still had to beat him! Go Mamori! ^^
