Hey I would like to see if you need help with cleaning or typesetting I don't really have any experience doing it but I'm sure that I could learn quick. It may sound weird but I clean raws for fun sometimes just to see how good I can do it, so I kind of know how to do it but would like to learn more. If you would be interested in the help let me know. Thanks

Nice :)
Of course we need help with cleaning and typesetting. Post some of your works here and wait for Venicia, she will tell you what to do - if you're good enough, you can start cleaning/typesetting immediately, if not, you have to start your training :D
Looking forward to working with you :p

Anyone is welcome. But remember, i want somebody that sticks to what he says- Honesty!!!. If you say you are going to help and it comes to work time and all that we hear is "i am IN this" and "i have that to deal with" then dont.
Are you going to be committed to helping your fellow pirates do releases? Will you be enthusiastic and interested not to give up and quit when learning or things get challenging? If you have these qualities then indicate it here in this thread immediately.
Also, if you have qualities and you are ready to go visit this forum: The Training Workshop (http://www.franky-house.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=38) it has tutorials for learning how to typeset and to clean. You will start with doing speesdscans. For the cleaning start with "speedscan by blud" and "Denoising by Yoniedaime". Then create your training thread in that section by picking up a manga page and trying out what you learnt. We will walk with you through this.
All the tutorials you will need to do some of the steps like levelling are already provided in that forum. So go there and start your training thread> YOu will see other training threads there for guidance on how to start yours.

Remember, it might not easy in the beginning thats why i admonish you have enthusiasm and the will not to give up. But when you become good you can clean at least one good page easily in under 20 minutes.
I will be watching you from now.

Welcome jackal643 - I'm glad you've decided to help.
try this this link http://mangahelpers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8190- though not sure if it's helpful or not.
But you know if you want the program for Photoshop cs3 - I can give it to you through sendspace as photoshop is better than Gimp. nguh...
