I can't believe there isn't a thread for this.

Anyways, there has been a lot revealed about this game over the past week. Instead of a December 3rd release date, the game is now coming out on February 10th. However, in an attempt to reconcile, another third party character has been confirmed (Solid Snake, from the Metal Gear Solid series, was the first third party character revealed).

ha, alrealy been talking abou it (somewhat) with B, in the wii FC thread. But ya super excited about it.

Been checking the smash bros site regularily myself (about once a week then see all 5 new entires), but i hadn't seen that sonic was revealed, and holy cow, he looks like he'll be awesome to play with, I'll definatly have to try him out.

I've added two rumoured and possible characters to the first post: a DS character (the Pictochat stage has a unique DS icon instead of a generic Smash Bros. one) and Krystal from Star Fox (the website of the voice actress has listed that she will be voicing Krystal in Brawl. There is a link to it in the first post). As well, I'll start posting evidence of the possible characters from now on.

what sucks about this, is that the game was pushed back till feb of next year!!!! after i heard that sonic was making an appearance i wanted to go reserve the game and bam i get slap in the face with a date i wasn't satisfied with. i remember when i went to go reserve my halo 3 game i was asked i wanted to reserve this game because it was coming out on dec and i said not yet. then i just recently went back and i was told it wasn't out till next year :(

well allot of the levels look like there is less room and more chance to eat it, especially pits stage, and you know custom stages are going to be rife with pitfalls

Pacman would have Ultimate move: EATING MASSACRE

when pacman gets the SSB ball then all oponents will turn blue and they went in panic. pacman cames and old-school style eat them (only eyes will stay in air)

Megaman would have same kinda power as Kirby: When megaman defeats enemy he will gain opponents move. Light balls and stuff
Megaman would have too his slid kick and blaster thing (like samus has)

About the Sanji rosans post: firstly: I dont see why there wouldnt be stake in namco bosses mouth. Its more weird with sega. I HATE SONIC. Its sad that sonic have history with nintendo: first sonic "kinda" pilot game were on SNES... I dont now mean Sonic the hedgehog 1. That game was named "Hedgehog and something" but it wasnt rightly sonic da hedgehog. Now u thinking "OMFG WTF" but I have been played this game. Its kinda wierd. Sonic cant yet run and savepoints are dancing super marios (now u dont really believe me).

Im not 100 % sure about this. Only 95 % (Plz dont kill me if im wrong). Its sad that i cant remember name of that game. I should study more...... But as i said: SONIC SUCKS. He is just made for to copy Super mario. Only thing i love in sonic games is the sounds and speed. BUT the main chara sucks.

um, sorry but on the realistic side of things, that is far too much new code to write just for pacman, and as for Mega, I really think they might just go with the EXE counterpart, mainly because it is allot simpler to have him use "chips" to do moves and actions, then it is to just have him with a blaster, and "stealing" others moves would also be way too much to code right now, without having to push the date back even more

I think not, the game is just being polished up right now, and all they are doing is finishing last min coding, its fine the way it is, and fans really should not wait any more then they already have, even Masahiro Sakurai, the games creator said sorry that there was another delay, and that we should not have to wait anymore, that is also one reason they are doing day by day updates on the web site, just so fans know that it is more or less done

Weeeeell, then would it be like this:

theres cana be Megaman but his moves is copied from others like this:

Orginal special move: Upgraded blaster ( when megaman defeats enemy he will gain enemy´s orginal special move, kirby style)

Up special move: Robo-dog trampoline (almost same thing as Sonic´s but jumper thing is chanced to megaman´s dog.

Down special move:Blaster powah (same thing as Samus has)

Side special move: Slidekick (well this is only thing what isint directly copied but isint it almost like Warios motorbike or sonics spinball trick. Megaman just Slide ground smoothly~)

Ultimate move: I havent yet invented it but there could be that Fattie Robo-dragon. It would be like yoshis specialo.

Uh... Nintendo does not own Capcom. Mega Man is still extremely likely, due to friendly relationships between the two companies.

Personally, as far as a third 3rd-party character goes, I don't care, as long as it's not Cloud or Sephiroth.

Wow I put so many hours into the first and second Super Smash Brothers. Now Brawl is coming out... there goes three months of my life. Anyway yeah CF's grab, D-throw, Forward-B, then beefy knee for the win. Then SHFFL around and throw in some more air moves...

Wavedashing and L-canceling are officially out of Brawl. T.T that means no more SHFFLing. Of course people who can't wavedash are happy and insult those who mourn. They say things like "WD is for losers anyway. I can beat you without L-canceling. Good thing it's gone." But for everyone else who knows how, a part of the game is missing.

It takes the fun out of seeing pros in awe and thinking "I didn't even know it could played that way."

Don't ever learn how to WD, SHFFL, etc. if you wanna like this game right off the bat. If you're used to techs like me, then you most likely have a difficult time in transitioning between Melee and Brawl. However, if you do get used to the slower speeds and new dodge/dmg system it is pretty fun.

The story mode is cool (even better when you play with 2 players), but I loved the customizing scenario option.

Ah dude, I'd own everyone with Samus and Link back on the 64...
Nowadays i own everyone with Samus, Link and Ike xP

Even if he's slow Ike's Up+A hits both sides and can own only at 60% And that's without charging... Overpowered much? Then there are his other moves... Up+B ensures a safe ledge-grab by getting rid of campers... Down+B (when you're as good as me with reaction times) can own anyone that tries a move on you, even the Falcom Punch canget owned... ah, so good.

Eh, i bought the Wii for the sole purpose of Brawl... Damn them for it is not out here yet... can only play burned copies on someone else's Wii at the moment... *grumble, grumble* ...anyway, when it finally comes out here then i will own everyone everyday! ^_^
