So...I just read it. Things have gotten pretty interesting now. Now Blackbeard got a purpose in the story line now. Blackbeard kind of had a foggy purpose before, but now he's a Shichibukai, I think that gave Luffy a larger purpose to fight BB now. Anyone else think Brooke's got some hidden uber move up his sleeve that he didn't use on his zombie that is probably gonna KO Oz?

I don't think Brooke is gonna beat Oz. It's possible that he didn't do his best in fight with his zombie, but he still is weaker than Zoro. They will make Oz eat salt and then they will be out of game, leaving Moria to Luffy :)
p.s. I'm worried about Luffy's brother

I worry about Ace too. But good news - oda no kill no big people in OP. So i think it safe to say that Ace get defeated by BB. But he alive.

I've had an irking feeling that ace will be the first death ever for a while. But my common sense says that he doesnt kill people so why would he do something unexpected and kill him (oh wait maybe thats why haha).

Hmm, you say it gives him a lartger reason but, his whole pioint for getting luffy was to become a shichibukai so like no point now, only ting i can think is that they gave him an order to kill Luffy becuase they are so worried about him.

Brooke Will do something cool he just has to other wise all he's done is be lame this whole arc and suck.

Zoro, zoroooooooo!! Zoro is being developed so fine now. The speech he give is just like the speech he give when Ussop abandon the crew and wanted to come back.

None of the other mugiwara make such important speech since Water 7. And he even get new sword. What is Oda trying to do with the zoro character?

Zoro is the frikin shit! Hes been my fav character from any manga since i saw him. This was just one more reason for me to not be able to wait for this arc to be animated (the zoro being awesome yet again in this arc combined with the incredibly easy AMV using thriller xD)

And yeah, I agree about Ace as well. Praise Haruhi that he hasn't gone and died. :(
It does seem like he lost the fight though (as if that wasn't apparent after the hat falling to the ground), considering the WG giving Blackbeard a spot as a Shichibukai.

Blackbeard becoming a shichibukai, may be one of the most predicable thing to happen in a loong time.

I agree with imp; at very least the WG is going to claim he's dead. It would feel very Oda-like to me to wait all this time without killing someone just so this could be the mother of all sucker punches.

What a great chapter. Never will i have imagined two shichibukai ever considering to fight against the strawhats soo soon in the series. Just the consideration of it, not the actual fighting, is really surprising and interesting.

And we thought Moria was a giant, Kuma ia just as big. THese guys are huge. And what is with his eyes?

Again, zoro was in his element. I am very interested in how Oda demonstrates the power of the new sword in this oz vs strawhat fight.


Although i am glad that my prediction that it was going to be Kuma who tells the strawhats about Ace being defeate (aka dead) is virtually goning to come true now.

Or instead of revealing that Ace is alive in the manga he will leave it to the One Piece animators to show it via an anime episode.

Neither of them are giants, which has been stated. They are just as Whitebeard and have giantisis or whatever they called it. :p

This is totally one of the reasons I feel like he acually gonna be dead, he wasn't going to kill people off early becasue they had no real impact whther they were temp defeated por dead. Having him acually kill off ACE of all people would be like holy shit and be very different outcomes depending on him being defeated, dead, or captured. Just me doubting what his life staus is proves how masterful Oda is at storytellling imo. And after something as obvious as blackbeard becoming a shichibukai, him following it up with an absolute shocker like ace is really dead or something seems to fit.
