I did pages 1 - 13 of Eyeshield21, chapter 252. (If you want me to do the rest, let me know.)

I think I cleaned them up pretty well, but some of them came out pretty grainy (x__x). And I think I did pretty well on the editing, except for the chapter title ("252nd down: Final"). The typesetting was pretty easy. (^o^) At first it took me about 30 minutes to do one page, but I managed to shorten my time by a few minutes. xD (I started this last night and I was able to do 13 pages.)

This is good. Very good. I will send you directions soon on joining the team when i come back tomorrow. You are a pirate.
But i hope somebody will be able to at least critique your work before i come back.
:welcome: to the pirate ship - what was your real name again?

This is not for HQ-ing so it is quite good. if later you want to be on the One Piece HQ team - then you decide.
So tell me -- are going to be committed to helping the others? Will you have the desire to do your best and chip in any time you are available? if so - then you are more than ready to ge a pirate.

welcome to FH Erica! I'm don't have a whole lot of experience, but I can critique a bit. Leveling and denoising was nicely done, but as you said, you have some dust left in the blacks. Especially in a manga like ES, where the mangaka uses alot of greys, you're never going to be able to get rid of it just by using those two tools.
After level/denoising, you'll have to go in and manually fix them. The quality level you're after will determine which tool you use: burn tool, brush, pen, lasso, etc.
Anyway, again its great to have you, welcome to Franky House!

Gratz Erica^^. Now you are part of the family:p. Don't forget we help each other in time of needs and try not to create internal conflicts :s. Having that stated... Have fun around and do your best to turn this place into a real manga paradise^^.

i hear when you get real good you can do one chapter in MQ in about 4-6 hours so keep practicing.

Did you use the Denoising tutorial - (this thread: Speedscan Guide by Blud (http://www.franky-house.com/forums/showthread.php?t=557) and also read the original denoising guide by yoniekai-- Noise Reduction (http://www.franky-house.com/forums/showthread.php?t=144) )
Because it looks like either you didnt denoise or you denoise and didnt do it well. also some of the greys seem gone.
Nice try i think. Yeeeeehh :Jump_Roll:

:) I have few advices for you:
read denoising tutorial (http://www.franky-house.com/forums/showthread.php?t=144);
if after denoising there is still some dust on black parts, use burn tool (Range set to Shadows and Exposure set to about 50%);
if there is still some dust on white parts, use Dodge tool (Range: Highlights, Exposure:~40%);
to make greys look the way they were looking at the beginning, use History Brush Tool;
I don't know how to fix greys, if you find some nice tutorial about that, send ma a link, I would like to learn that also.

For cleaning it depends on the raw quality, amount of greys, blacks, dust, etc. For typesetting it depends on the amount of text and it's characteristic (if it's a monologue and you're using one font, it's faster :) ). So it's hard to say how much it takes, I never measured my time :P

Honestly, I just randomly did it on Photoshop (o__o"). I just duplicated the image, another layer of white then overlayed it, merged it down, then overlayed THAT image while leveling it, then I did a bunch of other stuff to get the image like that. But I'll try doing the denoising think. xD

No wonder it took you so long :p
And read this (http://www.franky-house.com/forums/showthread.php?t=201) tutorial (it's about saving the files), it's important :)

Yeah, the denoising tutorials dont ask for those steps i think - and they help to make the edges smoother and blacks/whites easier to do.
