It can be jumping off a 100 story building or even eating ants! It differs widely from one to another I'm guessing..

(also it is possible to move forward in time but it would be pretty pointless as the amount of time you move ahead is pretty tiny compared to the amount of time it took you to travel through time (man really hard to put in words think of it as spending 1000 years travelling to move 10 minutes into the future so to people on earth it hass been 1000 years and 10 minutes since you left whilst for you its been a 1000 years)
