Meh, I've done my part on introducing it to my friend. I'd honestly prefer it to be in our little click, so that people don't know what we're talking about. I'm just happy he ended up liking the series as much as I have.

I did, however, stumble across a conversation once where they were talking R+V. I hid my existence to them, trying not to laugh at how disturbed I was under the circumstances.

pfft like I care, the ps3 has no decent games on it now (MGS4 and GTA4 - not my thing) and the 360 only has halo 3 but even if it is a good game, it isnt worth paying £300 for a 360 just to play it, I think ill wait for Final Fantasy XIII before I look into a PS3 (and the ps2 has FFXII so screw your PS3 LOL!)

I have recommended the series to a couple of people but they've turned the series down flat out. They said that the series is no different from any other High School oriented brothel series (the main story taking place in high school, with the male protagonist being surrounded by many girls who like him and are veying for his love and attention), and the only difference is that there are monsters in this one. It's actually a bit hard for me to disagree with them, as it really does feel like something that has been done alot before, just with monsters. What made me attracted to the series in the first place was that it had some interesting Side Stories, it would give us an interesting view (and facts) on various Western and Eastern Yokai, and the setting is pretty cryptic (think about how you would feel if you were in a creepy looking supernatural world where everyone were Yokai). But so far, ever since the Second half of Volume 10 the series has become a bit...disappointing to me. The overall story hasn't been as deep, interesting, or as dramatic as it was previously. This is especially true for the Second Season so far. However, I did feel this way when I first read the first 6 Chapters of the first season of R+V, and nearly turned away from it but then it got very interesting and I got hooked. So I'll be very patient and see how Season 2 turns out.

high school oriented brothel series?

It's what some Anime/Manga fans I know consider series such as the various Tenchi series, Kanokon, Ranma 1/2, Girls Bravo, and such. It's a bit of an odd term, but I get what they are trying to say. They feel that it's the same as any 'one male surrounded by a bunch of beautiful and overpowering women' series. The Rosario + vampire series is a bit like that, at least that's the way they see it. I tried telling one of them "But the Manga is so much better" in which he replied "I'm talking about both Anime and Manga, I'm sick and tired of all these brothel series! It's like the Manga creators are making these stories for their own sexual pleasures!" Well....it wasn't those exact words but something like that. But then again, he's one of those more serious Anime/manga collectors.

the baka-wolf forums went down a couple times when the anime fansubs were released (over 14,000 ppl trying to download at the same time)

you make some good points T-6000 but you forget, you can say that about anything, since any story has been done before in the same style in some way or another, there is no originality anymore, but just because most series are so easy to stereotype doesnt stop you from loving them

It's sort of hard for fan art because I think that the characters are more detailed than your average Naruto or Bleach character. (Moka's hair is so damn long!)
