Hm, this was a good chapter to show the emotional side of the unfolding of events. It can't always be action-action-long dramatic transformation scene-action. Good turn of pace, they need to refine the pace at which the story is going at anyways. Personally, I feel overwhelmed at the recent turn of events right now.

Good chapter, but with its content, it seemed a bit short - even for Naruto. The code... - my guess - will involve that frog scroll seen earlier with Ero. What was it containing, a forbidden jutsu? Oh Naruto, you lucky guy you.

I dont want Naruto to be the next anyone. Too boring for him just to become a Jiraiya clone. Yondaime turned out differently and i hope he will. He seems slightly less perverted actually...

Good chapter, nice turn of pace, though some parts seemed a little too dragged out. Too much of him walking around and sulking made me feel like Kishi had nothing really to show us and hit us with a manga filler. Well the J-man is gone, now i wonder about the "key"...

i cant really see him becoming a jiraiya clone, he might have similiar or maybe the same techniques after being trained by the frogs, but other than that hell still be different, at least i think so :)

Yeah, but i am also slightly against him training with the frogs, or at least becoming a frog hermit. I mean Sasuke has already pretty much abandoned Oro for his own path and he has only become stronger because of it. Plus i assume Jiraiya taught him a lot of the toad jutsu already unless he neglected him those 2.5years.

I would rather like to see Naruto dissapear alone with the 'key' for a year while a war rages on, travelling to different countries undercover and learning jutsu only to return rugged...

i dont think jiraiya taught him the frog jutus...i mean after all, the only new thing weve seen was the oodama rasengan, but other than that its still the old "kage bunshin" s**t which still annoys me...after all he was supposed to be really strong after he gets back... yeah, that traveling alone thing would also be a good alternative, but i think the frogs would actually have to explain the whole key thing to him first...and knowing naruto he wouldnt get it anyways

We havent had any scenario that any frog jutsu Jiraiya uses would have been beneficial for Naruto to use. Naruto hasnt even bothered to Summon post-time skip because he didnt need too.

Like what exactly? Name on jutsu you have seen from Jiraiya that would have helped against a man flying away on a clay bird...Even Jiraiya hasn't shown much long range prowess. He also prefers mid-close range jutsu. Can't exactly use toad stomach in the middle of a forest.

I'm sure mangaka could have introduced some summon jutsu where the frog was powerful enough to jump that high. It would have at least made Naruto look like he learnt something new.

Yeah, the frog jumps that high, and then falls back down. He could have easily used Gamabunta to reach the height but it would have been pointless use of jutsu. There is no reason for Naruto to use such jutsu. Even Sasuke has just been using variations of chidori + snake + sharingan...

So...pretty much everyone is assuming the code has to do with training or jutsu. It could just be information. Naruto hasn't been told who his father or mother was. But the info I think it would contain would be directly related to Pain and the Akatsuki.

I also think its linked to the identites of Pain cos Jiraiya tried to tell the frogs about their identies but couldn't cos he couldn't talk, so I guess he engraved it on its back instead..

I'm sure at that point of time he wouldn't have thought of teaching Naruto a new/forbidden jutsu because he has the responsibilty to inform Tsunade about Pain's identities to protect their village right?

I'm feeling really depressed about Jiraiya's death anyway :( He was one of the funniest and perverse character! And I'm irritated by Sasuke as well too man. Power's gotten to his head!

Naruto has always been a quick hothead. It's no surprise he jumped down Tsunade throat. In his eyes though, she's always just beat the Hell out of Jiraiya or yelled at him.

Naruto is a kid that has lost almost everyone he's cared about. No parents, lost his best friend, now lost his Master. Can't blame the poor guy for being a bit annoyed.

Yeah, I guess.. You can say Jiraiya was very close to Naruto cos Jiraiya treated Naruto as his 'grandchild'. Plus Naruto values everyone around him (including Sasuke though he turned out to betray them..)

Just hoping there'll be more action in the next chapter!

What are you talking about. Do you even read the manga/watch the anime? It was revealed ages ago.

Yeah it was the secon guy to get the necklace but got killed on a mission, but that doesn't mean that she didnt care for the J man, she knew he loved her as a lover even though she didnt or could reciprocate his feelings for her at the time for whatever reason but know she realizes his gone and it could never happen, as for Naruto he lost someone who could be more accuretly be portrayed as a grandfather or godfather to him actually but despite that he took the loss and realizes he has to live up to the faith and trust he had for him so yeah i think hell go with the toads and also learn not just Jyrayas jutus but knew ones as well, as for the code the only real answer is that its some code about Akatsuki or pain hidden in one of his book.

I know right its like all they do is talk and worry about stuff. Kishimoto tries to put character into the characters but it never works cause it just gets so boring doing that. I think he should just stick to the action
