Hey there, I'm new to the scanlation thing, but I can typeset. And I would personally like to typeset Soul Eater by Ookubo Atsushi. It is a really neglected series, there are few readers, but I really enjoy it, and think that if more people read it there will be a growing interest. I'm in college right now, so it will be difficult to get an example typeset in (because I really haven't done it since August, and I don't have any examples with me).
Thanks a lot!

Thats alright. Although. this is a new series to me. Having the name Franky House attached to releases may in in a very very small way get a few people interested.
I dont mind at all. as much as you find the raw and you are committed to helping out as much as you can, not only in typesetting.
College, yes, almost all of the staff are in schoool too, some High School. So, you have no choice but to typeset since everybody did it. And you doing it shows one of the most important traits we look for -- commitment to prove that you want to typeset and will typeset whenever you get the chance.
Your Assignment:
There are a lot of raws out there apart from Soul Eater that you can use for typesetting. But for now, what you are going to do is use the current Gantz cleaned raw every new typesetter was given to practice on: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=34B9D8HT
Do not look at other existing scans for the chapter when typesetting. Do not. Just use your skill and experience and have a go at it. if you are confused just give it your best shot and dont waste too much time.
When you are done post the result in here. I will be watching this thread closely.

Okay, you got it! Although, you may not get the work until next weekend. I have a brotherhood activity this entire weekend, which is preventing my problem sets from being done for the next week.
Anywho, am I able to use any translation for the typesetting?
