Write Down the Best Anime in your opinion.
The person below you will have to agree or disagree.
If Agree, he/she should put his reason.
If Disagree, he/she should post the title of the better anime in his/her opinion.
In my opinion the best anime is Samurai X/Rurouni Kenshin
Edit:
How to judge
1. Story Line (good or bad story?)
2. Art (how is the look?)
3. Characters (characters great?)
4. Touch (does the story moved you?)
5. Satisfied?

i disagree, it is a good anime but got kinda boring in the middle, and i saw the dub so it might have led to me disagreeing as well
i would pick The Melancholy of Haruhi

i disagree.. i know haruhi is a good anime due to its fun atmosphere, but you cannot compare it to Rurouni Kenshin because of these ff reasons
1. seriousness of the story
2. balance comedy
3. great drama
4. exciting episodes
haruhi does not possess this qualities imo :p

I don't like Rurouni Kenshin it really gets boring as time passes by well my favorite anime:
D.Gray Man (though I know that very few will agree)

I disagree because the story is missing something. I'm not quite sure what, but it doesn't leave me satisfied or excited about it or anything.
I say GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka) is one of the great ones I've watched, off the top of my head.

Ahh... my bad. >< I'm one of those people who don't agree.
D. Gray-man is alright for me. Plotwise the story seems to be jumping all over the place, although I'm only on Ep. 70 or so. D. Gray-man also has a lot of cool characters but with a large character pool it's hard to give each one a decent amount of appearances to stay popular. There doesn't seem to be any particular characteristic of D. Gray-man that sets it apart from the other powerhouse shounen mangas, i.e. One Piece, Bleach, Naruto, etc. (You know, those series that will probably never end.)
As for the qualities posted earlier, "seriousness, comedy, drama, and excitement" are all personal opinions. (I don't mean that in a bad way ><)
I believe what ultimately matters is entertainment. The criteria each individual looks for is always going to be varied, just as we as people are, with different likes and dislikes. With an umbrella term such as the "best" all preferences can probably be both refuted and supported.
It's easy to determine a favorite but hard to determine the best. (Damn I'm starting to digress. I'm probably wasting a comment ><. I didn't even answer the question either. My bad guys.)

How you u53 your n3w liv35 is 3ntir3ly up to m3.
That'5 th3 th3ory anyway5.

Heh, i think you all know what I've picked.
:megane:
GANTZ
1. Story Line = A great story which is still going on in the manga. Also, the arcs aren't bad at all, unlike the old Naruto which just seemed to go on forever. =_="
2. Art = Oku Hiroya is a great mangaka. I aspire to be able to draw just like him one day.
3. Characters = "Kurono Kei the greatest hero,"
"Katou the most virtuous,"
"Kaze and Takeshi, Sensei and Pupil,"
"Old man who looks up to Kei,"
"Reika the hot and sexy, has a crush on Kei"
"Tae who is kind of cute and whom Kei is going out with,"
"Izumi and Nishi, Lone Wolves,"
"Sakurai and his sensei who have mind powers,"
and most importantly Gantz, whom the story could not exist without. ^^P
4. Touch = Heck yes, in the anime, whilst they're fighting the '1000-armed buddha' everyone is simply being killed off, you can almost see Kei's and Katou's mental anguish. In the manga there are so many parts where you just get so excited that you laugh out loud to yourself... like when you see Takeshi training and trying his best to be like Kaze... such heartwarming moments. Then there's the exciting parts when Kei finally gets the Oni Alien in the side with a sword and thoroughly kicks its ass... Well, you know i could go on but this post is getting pretty big as it is...
:megane:
5. Satisfied = Very... much... so...
Ha, I've put alot of feeling into this post so if the next person says something else then it easily won't be as impressive. xP ...probably. :megane:

Best anime, eh... This be hard since I always prefer mangas, but I'll go with either Rurouni Kenshin, Law of Ueki (no idea why~) or Full Metal Alchemist
All have good storylines (especially FMA), good fighting, and rememberable characters~
As far as mangas go, it'd be pretty similar with Rurouni, Black Cat, One Piece and FMA

I agree with dancu as well, the plot is good, you have romance, ecchiness, "a little bit" of gore XD, etc... It was actually so good that I watched it completely in one afternoon :p

Hmm, I'll agree on this one... Although Gantz will always be my top favourite, there's just something about this anime that pulls the right heart-strings.
