hey dread, read my comment carefully, I never said the movies were bad, just that the vampires are always portrayed as evil, some are good films though, I personally love the blade films :p

This movie has the most good vampires in allmost any Holywood movie/series.

I'll start a list of manga/anime vampire "Sidings" and characteristics:

R+V - Not depicted as really good or bad, just snobby and arrogant, and among the strongest of the Yokai. Also said to have the most weaknesses and is warlike by nature.

Hellsing - True vampires are very few, but not necessarily evil nor good. The warlike nature is DEFINITELY there. The false vampires seem to follow typical Hollywood vampires, evil and bloodthirsty.

I can't think of any others.....

Anyway, back to ch 40.

I think that chapter 40 is somewhat of an alternate story, one that could have been placed earlier in the series, but might not have been an appropriate chapter during an earlier story arc, being that it's been placed somewhere in the pre-Mizore days as Mizore isn't involved in this chapter, except at the end on the last page.

The villain might have been a prototype for Hokuto judging by the way he looks. The way this chapter flows, I'd say it might have been a rejected chapter that still made it to print as a post-season omake. It may have had some continuity issues if it was supposed to be for an earlier chapter at that time.

It looks to me like this guy is supposed to be an old friend or former love interest. He also doesn't seem to be a typical vampire, he may have been a prototype ghoul too.

It's really hard to tell these things. It's obviously set sometime during the first semester before Mizore joined the regular cast, and maybe even before the incident that involved the academy public safety commission. But the artwork is more refined than a chapter done during that time, which means it was done much later than those chapters.

Karin - not evil, viewed as evil by humans but constantly forced to live in hiding due to this, they act like an everyday typical family really, except there vampires :p

and about chapter 40, I guess well wait and see when elicit translates it? we havent heard anything from elicit for awhile now sadly :(

in the 1st ch of R+VII isnt there a scene where moka is remembering a special moment with tsukune in the for or something?? where is that scene?? the only thing i can think of is the scene way back in ch 27

Concerning the CUPS discussion.

There was a extra at the end of a Manga, where they had a special about the R+V cup-sizes. I can't remember wich it was. But if there is interrest I can see if I can find it somewhere on one of my harddrives..... What I remember is that they said that Kurumu has a G-cup!?!?

For 40? that depends on Elicit who's translating it. But it has no bearing on the story what-so-ever, so it's fine to go on to season 2, if you've been holding back.
