Ok done the change in the logo... i did use neat image but i cant tell if it turnoed out well..
and skipbeat test 2 was a real pain ^^

ok, for naruto, overall is good, but don't do that to the logo, actually what are you doing to the logo? :p
for blood+, level it again, too blurry, but i guess you do it good ;)
for one piece, i'd say it's over level, and for typesetting, you make the font too big, make it smaller and try to make a diamond shape
for skipbeat 1, you did it nice for beginners, but i still can see clearly where you clone it
well, i can't judge color page XD, wait for others :p

overall is nice try for beginners ;)

I have changed som of the stuff you told me to... done a new typesetting for One Piece, and worked on the blood+ page. About Naruto, idk if i should reclean it... i really messed up with that logo xD

I'd say these ones are much more better now ^^ maybe I should also post the ones I've done...

gdperin you're DGM page needs to be leveled more on the whites since you can see the white when you erased the text in the bubbles and the grey dust around it but except for that it's pretty good ;)
your FT page on the other hand is a bit too blured(too much denoising), the same with the Mx0 page but that Mx0page is really hard to get it good and you should also look at the RAW when cleaning since the magical monster in the last panel should have a lot of grey around it and yours is completely black
and your naruto page is also a bit blured but it's good...

You're almost there man, keep it up :D

2 things:
We rarely do shoujo manga if you haven't noticed and that on'e s easy to cleanbut you didn't do good on the greys again :(...it's too blury, you can see the greys on the page 2 & 3 that are completely blurd greys, you don't use auto profile on the greys or blacks and then use a big denoiseing setting...you need to denoise better :D, well for now try auto-profile on the white area and denoise 10/80 settings ;)...until you get more expiirience with neat image and practice try using that setting :p

Well I'm not sure how good the RAW was but it's still a bit too blury XD, anyways I think you should improve on quality and speed and you're in as a typesetter since it's pretty good, just typeset a few more to be sure :D

Ok thanks Makhan and Anon, i`ve tried to improve bassed on yourr suggestion, i`ll keep trying.
I added page 9, but there was a problem i couldnt solved and that´s that in the first frame u can see another page in the grays.

Your cleanings are good, but there's something wrong with them. I was wondering what it is and I think you overlevel a bit. The lines aren't "neat" as they should be. And try not to redo greys, cause they look a bit "fake" especially when you redo only half of them and leave some untouched.
The typesetting is ok, although there are places where it's not centered as well as it should be.

the not centered text were to fit better inside the ballons.... but ill try better next time

OK, these are pretty good for the most part, the first one is a bit overleveled and overdenoised and when you have a dark page especialy I'd recommend that you level less and burn more, and it would be nice if you could typeset them as well but since it's only a cleaning training you don't have too, well I'd say that you pass for a cleaner on this but the question in this thread is do you want to be a cleaner since this isn't the join FH thread and one more thing you need to do from now on is train to get faster when you do this ^^

what size is the picture you're working with?
I'm always resizing to 3000px you can overlevel/overburn a bit than and it's not visible after resizing down to 1200 ;)

You're doin pretty good GD. You can tell when you overburn/overlevel because the black lines end up losing their smoothness. If you look back at those DGM cleans the lines are getting pretty crazy looking in a couple spots. DGM is by far one of the hardest cleans to do though so don't feel discouraged. Once you master that you will be able to pop out a Bleach page in a matter of moments

You pass gdperin, welcome to the team.....The only thing you need to watch out is your cropping since I see a lot of black lines that are lefft from bad cropping but that's easily fixed, just put it into a bigger zome mode next time when you crop :p, that and the 2 skip beat pages are to see your redrawing and that blue inked page should be greyscaled btw!!

guys someone need to clean these test pages and put them as example to ppl who wanna join to let them know at least what u guys want and of course put some sort of watermark to let them not take it ^^

Well test pages are for guys that are applying to be pirates, so they should be pretty skilled by now for cleaning, and you are for training so you get these:

hmmm, Naruto looks good, can't say much about it since I didn't see a Naruto RAW in years, but Mx0 is not so good and that's a good series to see how good someone is, anyways it's overleveled, and I feel like you use a really high percent when you burn the black, so they kinda smudge out and lose a lot of details, and read this tutorial (http://mangahelpers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6796) as well, it's a need to know for good quality...anyways you're getting pretty close to a really good standard, keep them coming, when I was applying I was slaved by makhan but that's probably one of the reasons why I stayed since I could get into speed when doing speed scans!

1) burn blacks
2) make all borders the same size

the greys look good, fix only these two things
and by burning blacks I mean only almost black dots in blacks, like pants in 5th and 7th frame or wall in the 6th frame (don't need to burn the sfx's, cause you can end up overburning greys around)

Yeah, good LCD is a must-have, I noticed that whily trying to clean at home on my old CRT ;)

don't know what you did to the 2nd version, it's completely overburned/overlevelled
but the 3rd one is good, I like it :]

GD you have the skills. By the time you have scanned your hundreth page you will be as good as anyone. And perseverance is the most important talent to have in cleaning. Cause trust me there will be times you don't feel like cleaning but you have to anyway. That is where the talent comes in handy :D.
