Well I thought we could have a thread where people tell stories about interesting things that have happened in your life. It has to be something that happened to you or at least in your presence.
To start off I will repost what I posted in the how are you feeling thread last night, since it was interesting.
"I am feeling quite glad I woke up right now. Why you ask? Because I was able to ask what my brother was planning on doing in my bedroom before he relieved himself all over my floor. Yes you heard right he was going to use my floor as his bathroom. Kids, this is why you should lock your door if you happen to share an apartment with someone who drinks. Now why this happened to be the one night when I didn't lock my door who knows, but I tell you it will be right after I type this and try going back to sleep.
Perhaps it was the Universe reminding me to lock it..."
Converse or post something that happened to you.

Well I might as add another thing.
OK first thing you need to know is that this happened when my brother and I were kids and it was after we had watched the Critters movies. They were corny horror movies involving little evil balls of fur with teeth and shot spikes.
Anyway we lived on a farm at the time and my brother was walking by the granary bin which I happened to be working in so I thought it would be funny to pull a prank. I made it look like had been knocked over and was being pulled into the granary bin and I was screaming for him to help me. But alas, he "let them drag me in" while he ran away in terror.
Let me tell you it had to have been one of the most funny things I have ever seen in my life. I am sure it doesn't sound as funny here but if you would have been there you would have laughed so much...

Hmmm i think the wierdest thing that ever happened to me was when i was hit by an ambulance.
I was riding my bike on the parking side of the street, and was about to make a left turn. I saw an ambulance pull up at the corner i was about to turn into, and decided to pull back and wait for it too pass first.
The driver didnt look both ways before making its turn, and rode tooo deep into the neutral parking lane I was waiting in and hit me.
My bike took most of the hit, as I was slammed back into a telephone poll. My handlebars wrenched hard as I struggled to keep the bike balanced. It was when the driver came out of the ambulance that I fell over and skinned my knee.
I was half expecting the driver to ask "Are You Okay?" he probably did....but he was speaking rapid spanish at the time. (I may look hispanic, but I don't know the language at all.) He helped me stand up and pointed at the ambulance (i guess asking if i needed to go to the hospital).
Luckilly the only thing that hurt on me, was my skinned knee, and i skinned that enough times to be able to endure it. My bike needed to be fixed tho, since the handlebars were stuck in a 180 degree turn mode (kinda weird riding a bike with backward handlebars)
I wasnt too far from home only a 30 minute walk (I could have made it in 18 minutes like usual with the bike dang it)
When I got home and relayed the story. My parent's were furious that i didnt get the drivers information, or lisence plate. They were saying I could have sued him.
when i thought about the event later on, I had plenty of opportunities to get that info. But i really failed to see the point in it. What was the glory for suing a driver over a skinned knee and twisted handle bars?
the knee healed by the end of the week, and the handlebars I fixed myself (im pretty handy with tools ... for a girl)
I had no need to get greedy and yell lawsuit ofver something that really was nothing more than an accident.
(I got hit on other occassions with my bike later in my life, but i'll save that for a later post heh)

Well I am glad you ended up being alright. I agree with you about not suing as well, our society is sue happy it seems. If you had managed to get seriously injured then sure since you would then have expensive bills. One of my best friends got hit by a car and then they tried to put the blame on him even though it was their fault. He apparently ended up flying through the air a good distance and was moved to a second hospital before he woke up.
Cool that you fixed your bike too :) Surprised you didn't have to straighten your front wheel after something like that as well. I actually used to work in a hardware store and that was part of my job, building/fixing bikes. I still have a complete set of Park Tools (bike tools) in my tool chest haha.
So are you a bit more nervous when riding a bike in town after this incident? I prefer trails where I only need to worry about the occasional other biker or pedestrian.

Actually, I didnt learn my lesson heh. A few years later, I was riding my bike down hill, and somehow managed to have my back wheel nicked by a bus. The sudden Push sent my bike hurling down the hill. I didnt run into any cars, but i did manage to swerve it off the street and off the side of a bridge. (not the middle, just the starting part where the water and rocks let off. )
Luck was on my side again as i landed butt first on a "Sandy" beach.
It was scary yet fun at the same time..
As for now adays, I havent had much chance to break out my bike, since every thing is so far from my house that i need to go there by bus alone.
but every now and then i see the bike staring at me and my purple bashed in helmet (from another crash where i skidded on a set of rocks...that was the ONLY accident that required that i go to the hospital..too bad i couldnt sue rocks)
gleaming dying to go out again

Well I haven't had any incidences like that, some scrapes from fooling around on our gravel driveway when we were kids but that's about it. I really enjoy riding bike but I didn't even bring mine with me since I don't like town riding. If I get a bike rack for my car and find a good trail I might go get it. But then gas is so expensive now too. Plus its always more fun when you have other people to go with.
Something weird? This ought to freak you out, hahaha!
I got possessed by a ghost before when I went overseas quite a few years back. Apparently I couldn't remember anything because I blacked out. My mum told me she saw I didn't have eyelids. Ewwwww, right! Even until now I can't imagine how I look like w/o eyelids :/

Um, let's see. So MANY weird things have happened to me. Well, how about this? One time a man walked by where I was sitting at the bus station, told me he loved me, and bent over and kissed me RIGHT ON THE MOUTH before I could dodge (I was holding ten bags of groceries so I was kind of pinned down!)
He was VERY OLD, and his lips were very chapped.
This kind of thing is not even that weird, for me. -_-

Okay this is kind of lame but here goes... I was filling in for my little brother's paper route the other day so I had to collect money. I came to this one house with these three dogs. They were barking like crazy. But I couldn't just skip the house so I walked into their yard and two of the dogs came up to me. The tall one was nicer, it let me pet him. The short was jumping everywhere and growling at the bigger one. Then it bit me right above the knee. :freez: I had to ask the neighbor for a bandaid... so pathetic. I don't even think she knew why I was bleeding. Don't worry I was sane enough not to chuck something at the dog... So yeah, my brother owes me. When he gets back I'm going to see if he'll buy me some skip beat volumes.:twinkle:
(I never did get the house's money...)

Oh goodness, ouch...I've met some mean dogs in my life, both in and outside the ASPCA, but never been bit. Hope your bro forks over!
As far as stories goes, I'll tell a stupid one of mine:
In high school I was a member of an animal rights club, and we'd often take trips to the zoo in Wash. D.C. We were srs bizness about the animal thing, but these kinds of trips were often a means for some crazy stuff...
Anyway, one particularly crazy thing was when we were on our way back from D.C. and passing through Richmond, VA. My good friends and I were in the back of an activity bus while the rest were following behind in a minivan. It was bumper-to-bumper rush hour, moving at a snail's pace on the freeway, and we were feeling a bit restless, I think.
I can't recall clearly, but we must have been playing a game of truth or dare, because my friends started daring me to moon the minivan. I was hesitant at first, but I was dying to see the look on the chaperone's face in the minivan. So I turned around, pulled my pants down, and shook my ass for a good few seconds.
Everybody lol'd, including the chaperone after she picked her jaw up off the dashboard. My embarrassment was only realized when I thought about the dozens of commuters who must have taken a good look at my pale ass as well. Hopefully, I at least cured their stop-and-go monotony.

I had a glass cup filled with hot water explode in my hand, and I have the scar to prove it...
