And that hint is the buffalo getting scared and fainting just by luffy's command.
Remember Shanks when he scared that sea-monster away when he was saving chibi-luffy, just by looking and telling him to scram. Or remember the weak (s)crew-member of whitebeards gang who fainted just by his mere presence, I think luffy is now reaching that same level as Shanks, I mean, he's not there yet, but he's really close.

to resist something like that you have to show a much bigger or equal determination

i think shank's power is like materializing his resolve and turning it into something deadly, ya know?

I really like this chapter. which really captured me is during Luffy just start to fight with the cow/bull. Gosh, i cant wait to see what are hints will be given in the next chapters.^^

you mean the dog of one of the priests ? And no he doesn't, he only follows the priest's order.

And these stuff are different. it has to do with our hero instilling fear into the the enemy just by watching or ordering them, hell in shanks case even being near them and it goes so far as they faint.

I agree with Ilesyt about Luffy's glare. Somehow I think when Luffy is mature enough, he will become a man like Shank- the one he always look up to. He is starting to get stronger now and his personality becoming more and more like Shank. Somehow I think Luffy grow up and think like Shank after Shank saved his life 10 years ago.

Well, I think luffy's thinking pattern is about the same as shanks I think, he brings hapiness through actions not words only ( and I mean like when he badmouthed tobi at the end of axe-morgan arc to not have the marine punish tobi for working with pirates)

The reason he panicked or is nervous is because of luffy, he wasn't panicking when he attacked luffy.
