Gundam 00 Discussion

Gundam 00 is a new anime from the Gundam series. I forgot in which timeline it is, but it's about the earth being divided in 3 great forces and being in constant war. Suddenly there is a group of people called celestial being declaring war to everyone who's the center of troublemaking, to end the war and disputes in the world. Forcing the 3 forces to unify to be able to combat the Gundams which are working on GN Drives. There are 4 gundams with 4 pilots who call themselves Gundam Meisters.

If you haven't watched it, go watch it, and for those who're watching it:
The recent developments have me really excited, Mostly the Gundam pilots don't die, and I don't know if Setsuna really died or not. There is a hint that Setsuna hasn't died actually because they are using the exia's GN drive for the first prototype gundam to make it work again, and it might be Setsuna who pilots it. But then again he might not and had been recovering all this time somewhere on earth or in outerspace and has to be found, or he is really dead, but I doubt that since he's the main role. Maybe the main role has been transfered over to Saji crossroad ?
Give me your thoughts about it, and I can't just help but wonder why this thread hadn't been made earlier.

setsuna didn't die otherwise why bother with the 2nd season with it. it was kinda sad though when most of the crew died previously. i'm hoping louise will become a pilot too lol even though she has one hand. i only think that because of that scene with tiera. as for saji he seem too serious about his dream to work in space. i was kinda of thinking he would have eventually join the army to fight as well. lock on was probably my favorite character there along with nene (awesome crazy girl) and the princess (sweet reserved girl). oh and graham getting a mask at the end - pretty much Char. it seems that 2nd season will go the way of older gundams but whatever

yeah well, it could be before it all happened, it seems the time is actually Anno Domini, and I think that time is actually OUR present, in which this real world is now. Remember the time lines, BC and AD, AD stands for Anno Domini, but yeah, anno domini then stands for before all that happened.

Note: I just got this from wiki : The series is set in the years 2307 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2307)-2312 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2312) AD (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anno_Domini) of the Gregorian calendar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gregorian_calendar)
and the gregorian calendar is our current calendar so, yeah.

Also, the series is now going to go in second season : The second season is set to go on air in October 2008, still a ways off, heh. I wish the first season were to be longer :(
But anyway, I hope the second season has atleast 50 episodes.

well, each gundam anime is 50 episodes long.

if gundam 00 is 50 episodes long but is divided by seasons, so i think next season would still be 25 episodes long.

i can't say that isn't a possibility for Setsuna - i'm going to start putting spoilers for now since we do have some people starting to read and post in here besides us lol i'm hoping that he isn't, but the way certain events played after 4 years they make it sound like all the meisters are.

edit: you might want to check out Tower of Druaga once its subbed - i'm pretty surprised that its generally pretty interesting unlike the game.

no, not all the meisters are, alleluja and Tieria most definitely aren't. Setsuna is... not sure, but since he was the main person, he might not be, but since they shifted season, they might pick a new main lead. But really, I'll hate them for killing off Setsuna <_<

well the person with Louise does look like Tiera but i keep reading that it isn't certain that is him. as for allelujah i believe it was just his other personality that died. setsuna seem more like a love interest for mariana or at least i'm hoping they will try to keep it going (making him still alive). as for new pilots - i'm hoping Feldt becomes one like her parents and Nena still going to do it as well. maybe they will make an all female meisters? Wang Liu-Mei and Louise joins up lol

well aeolia kicked the bucket and veda got taken over. And I don't know about her having more orders from aeolia.

sumeragi and company have willingly given up the info from Veda(because Libbons took it over) they are now working alone with some backers which is why i think that Louise is backing them now. there will be new gundam meisters, nena possibly being with sumeragi now(she probably truly loves setsuna now) and some new members. Setsuna, and allelujah will come back later. tierra is probably dead.

no i dont think we discussed it - but i think saiji would probably be the one who be the one who go crazy the most. louise didn't really talked him when he was living next door.

Well louise might become a back upper, but I think she'd be more Saji's support and pusher for Saji to become a meister, because Saji definitel hates the gundam atm.

nena possibly being with sumeragi now(she probably truly loves setsuna now), who're you talking about, nena or sumeragi ? But anyway, no I don't think they love Setsuna, if it were someone who loves him , it would be Marina Ismail.

talking about nena loves setsuna - i don't really see any love interest from setsuna. he seems pretty cold and the only reason i believe he talks to marina so much is just because he wants to relate to someone from his culture. i believe its more or less the same for marina's feelings towards setsuna. don't get me wrong these things can always spark romance, but it doesn't seem that way for them.

did louise gain an inheritance from the deaths? because backing people like them isn't cheap. as for saiji he has his own stuff to deal with - i know he won't be phased out but i hope he doesn't play any significant part in the following season. the more i look at it - he was set up to be a victim of this war same with louise. the only reason i want to see louise do something is because she gave up her dreams already. i would like to see her become stronger from doing something like that.

Well, Setsuna was thinking of Marina Ismail till the last moment and he even sent her that mail. And she was also crying a lot. My love sensor was tingling the moment I saw them together when they were watching the view on that one city (the first time they met). And my love sensor is still tingling.

I JUST watched 4 eps. The plot looks more more interesting then Destiny for me. But still, for the character's, I think the GS and GSD chara still cooler, so far. Except the main male lead, Setsuna, though. His background kinda make me interested.

well the sequence (i'm assuming that is the opening one since it has all the characters) they have in the new season seems to show both personalities as well. one where he is grasping for soma and the other where he looks kinda crazy.

well it looks like this series is gonna have you saying "what is that it!?" every week until its finished.
Which isnt a bad thing but its gonna take about 5-10 eps for the story to start making sense and moving forward with the plot so i might just forget about this series for a couple of weeks like i do with Naruto Shippuuden :D

well the ending sequence seems to show the types of relationships that will part roles in the story. seems pretty obvious for most of them. i have to say good episode again.

My take is, at the end of season one, Hallelujah "died" because the side of the face that shows when Hallelujah takes over was destroyed/bloodied up. But in the 1st 2 eps of season 2 so far, we see that Allelujah's face has been healed so I think Hallelujah should be back. Or maybe Allelujah/Hallelujah are on permanent duel mode (where they work together) cause it shows Allelujah with both eyes. Either way, it won't be that long cause we find out next episode :)

mmmm gundam meister goodness - good episode. question Hallelujah's eyes only changed color when he was switching his personalities, so i guess they confirm that both are together now since his eyes have 2 different colors now. mmmm i'm loving the pair ups so far: lets go Soma/ Mary(sp?) x Hallelujah and Marina x Setsuna.

Setsuna and Mr. Wtf-lol-Bushido-kill-him-already will be forced to withdraw from the little duel in one way or the other and both sides will go Gundam SEED, Athran and Cagalli anyone(?), and search for the missing Allelujah and Soma.


Edit: Darky can't get enough of the last scene in episode three when Allelujah jumps into the Arios and the three gundams kicks ass and escape while you can see a rainbow.
