FH online Gaming

:twinkle:I thought that it would be great to get togever and play few online games like: Baldur's Gate, StarCraft, Jedi Academy, ect.

:megane:We can play practically any game that has local network games, if we use hamachi.

For those who don't know what hamachi is:

Hamachi is a program that makes a network (it's like a cable network between 2 or more computers) between as many people you want through internet. You can play any game that have multiplayer (It doesn't necessary has to even have internet option) without finding a special server. All you'll need is a same version of the game to play.

So if any one has any suggestions, be free to present them here, if there will be enough people, we’ll organize some time tables.

"hamachi (http://hamachi.en.softonic.com/)" is very useful program that makes a local network through internet. I play hundreds of times, in many games with it. It’s very simple to use it.

Hmm . . . Halo 3 that is a good option.

Actually I never played SSBB, but after seeing a movie on YouTube I think I may be an interesting time killer.

p.s. Do you Warcraft 3? If you do you must know about StarCraft, It was on of the most famous games bank in the old days.


Baldur's Gate 2 Shadow of Amn is considered on of the best RPG there is. It taken 49 place in TOP 100 games ever made(mario has first place in that list ^^).

Jedi Academy is a great action game, though it is not that famous, but I just really like it.

Yes it's only for PC games. No, I don't mean WOW! Any game that has multiplayer for local network. It doesn't need to have online option to it. It can be strategies, action, races, RPG, ect.

There is a better hamachi alternative for Warcraft and Starcraft. If you're interested I can ask my friend for it's name, I'm not using it cause my internet connection is too slow for online games >_<
and I'd suggest CounterStrike ;)

Well it's not like my connection is bad( I can get 300DL/120UP kbs if I want to), but for those who have a bad connection it would be nice to know, so do ask your friend.

Hmm, only games I play on that list you got up there is Halo 3, CS and StarCraft but I don't have XBL gold anymore, my StarCraft is illegal copy and well CS... :p

ok, asked my friend and he said GGClient is much more stable than Hamachi
GG Client supports the following games: Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, Counter-Strike, StarCraft : BroodWar, Dawn of War, and Quake 4.

Dota is a map in warcraft 3 a pretty interesting one.

GGClient I heard of it, but never actually used it. Well If it comes to CS, War3 or StarCraft I'll research it.

Counter-Strike 1.6 and Counter-Strike Source are practically identical so it will be considered as the same.

p.s. not that many people posted here, I guess many don't even come to Video Games/Music/TV/Movies thread. Maybe it's better to make a new thread later with a voting or something in General thread.

cs_dust2 and cs_aztec FTW! yeah but CS 1.6 is for old farts now lol. I'd Recommend Unreal Tournament 3 for PC, PS3 or x360.

For me it's the same, graphics are not important in this game and I never cheat(is that what you meant by "hax through walls").

By saying "hax" I mean shoot through walls and hope you hit. For example use the AWP and shoot through the wall were someone usually sits and camps.

thats the reason why i stopped playing counter-strike. it got to the point where people were so blatant about their hacks. the game just wasn't fun anymore with all the hackers out there.

You can still create and wait for members to organize. As much people like Mab in there you gonna get members. And it is also way to get more members. if people clikc on FH groups and they see FH Online Gamers fanclub it gonna be easier to get more members than just use this thread

You can DL Baldur'S Gate II - Shadows Of Amn and (mod)Baldur'S Gate II - Throne Of Bhaal (http://isohunt.com/torrent_details/13326635/Baldur's+Gate+2?tab=summary) on IsoHunt. It's an old game, It doesn't require that much and It is a game that ALL RPG lover MUST play at least once(when it came out I finished it 6 times).

The first attempt of the FH online Gaming group has failed. >_<
Me and Deman were going to play a game of Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast. I fixed ICQ and then switched to Qip so we could get the right patches and all, but alas we could not find eachother or the servers that we planned to try out.
So this is where the fun begins. ^^
I download Hamachi and install it..Just as the install is complete..BOOM.
I lose connection with msn and Qip.
What could have happened? I try everything I can but failure.
I start my wireless network and by doing so I atleast could tell Deman what had happened.
We try everything but Hamachi (Which we believe is the main reason for the problem) wouldn't get removed because of some kind of "Uninstall encountered a Problem that prevents it from completing the removal of Hamachi. The application will now exit."
And no Deman, I do not blame this on you. :p
