First off hello to you all, as the title implies videogames have always been something off a passion of mine my personal favorites are the Tales series for their characters and sotries, my questions are do videogames become good sources for animes and manga or can it work backwards as well i know their are some games that cant make the grade while others do, and same aplies to anime\m,anga but what are youre opinions about the subject, apreciat any feed back.

Hmmm, the only games I know of, and have played, that has recieved a tvanime is Devil May Cry.
But I know that Gungrave was first a game then anime.
Game -> Anime works.
Anime - > Game. Nah, depends. If it's like the Naruto/Bleach games that's fightergames it would work but a game that follows the anime...I don't think it would work.
well pokemon was a game first then a anime which sucess i would say :D
and vice versa is hard but like what darkblood said it sucess with fighting game mostly since if it is from the story it is hard to make good game out of it
but i will try to remebr anime > game which got nice reviews and all that

The thing is we dodn't see many of the anime based games over here as a lot them are RPGs that never get a releash outside of Japan.
That said some anime to video games have turned out OK. They would be all of the Naruto Games, the Full Metal Alchemist games, Ghost In The Shell, Sword Of The Berserk and some of the Yugioh games were also pretty cool.
Not sure if I can call the .hack games based on the animes or not as they were all planned together to tell the story using different mediums as well as telling different stories as well.Either way they are brillant games.
Other anime based games include the Vampire Hunter D game, the Gundam games and the RPGs based on Inuyasha that were not very good at all.
I haven't played the Bleach game yet so I can really say if it's good or not.
Now as for games to anime most of these work ok. Things like Clannad, Air and Kannon are brillant examples of how to do it right. Other examples of games to animes would be De Capo, Comic Party, Fate/Stay Night, Street Fighter, Devil May Cry, Arc The Lad, the Tales Of animes, Star Ocean EX, Monster Rancher, Mein Liebe, Sukisyo, Gauken Heaven, Utawarerumono, Art Of Fighting and the Fatel Fury animes.
Of couse not all of these animes are any good but they usually turn out ok espically if based upon dating sims or games with a strong plot like RPGs.
