What is it with asian people and karaoke bars

the topic says it all, i am dutch so i have no clue. BUt i have been reading manga for a while now. And for some reason is when we do something fun lets go karoake. I have no clue what is so fun about it.. plz explain xD

lolz. Well you could say it's party.
Karaoke is a place where you can rent a room for some hours and then they will give you a list of song that you can sing by yourself / other can sing. So if you want to sing any songs, just choose it and tell the host (the one who own place where you rent) and they'll play it via Televion for you (kinda play a CD for you). Of course they'll offer lyric as well so you can look at it if you don't remember. Besides that, the host sell drinks and food too ^^
It's a way of fun and take out stress so people likes to do it. You can go with friends, or go alone :)

i know what karaoke, but thanks for explaining.. it is so different from here in the netherlands there are no karoake bars.. or how hte hell their called.. so i was just wondering :)

^^ well it's fun and take out your stress, because you can yell out loud or sing yourself till you're dead tired and no one will complain about it ^^ It's a private place. have lots of cool musics and food and drinks. It's not place where under-age cannot come (like real bar) so it's cool for everyone ^^ You see the point ? :kawaii:

mm B-chan mostly girls go to karaoke with same sex or different sex but i dont think much Asian guys will go there with same sex people only (unless they are gay - or, extremly emo). So it's not really different with outsiders from other countries. That's my view though :bishounen:

Maybe guys just the same with girls, i just don't know yet :kirari: Anyways, i don't go to karaoke alot, but that's one thing we usually do when we gather up friends. And i'm not a good singer :but: my voice isn't high enough for any girl's song :but:
