I don't think there will be a season 2 for the anime, otherwise they wouldn't have cut off alot of storyplot in the anime, they wouldn't have needed the fillers. The anime just sucks, that's just it. So I don't watch it.

yeah the anime sux.. the only good thing about it is that you can see the ones i color. but thats about it.. they skipped a lot in the anime.. and for some reason to many panty shots.. which just ruin the whole anime.. So no to R+V anime.. and go to manga :)

Yeah, normally I'm a fan for fan service, but the panty shots are just exaggerated <_<

for example, episode 4 starts with Tsukune walking to school and we see the panties of a girl and then see kurumum flying to tsukune's arm and then another girls panties, and then moka flying to tsukune's other arm. EXAAAGGGERAAATEEDDD!!

I watch the anime as well, but as I have stated several times before, I am disappointed. The fanservice is annoying and they did some horrible changes to the plot. I realize that some changes are going to be made but they made some drastic changes to the story and made it have much less impact. I still find it watchable but when compairing it to the manga there is no contest at all. If I wasn't constantly comparing it to the manga I probably would be able to think better of it. I actually wouldn't be surprised if there ended up being a second season since R+V is getting licensed for a variety of things, its even getting a DS game. That could be cool but I just have a feeling it will follow the anime and not the manga.

the SS arc wasnt bad but it only had a few good fights the rest is pretty boring and takes forever to set up the ichigo/byakuya fight. Bounto arc is long and pretty boring and new arc going on now is pretty boring.

though the Szayel fight is annoying <_<

and a fight to look up to is the fight against Ulquiorra, the upcoming fight in the manga.

Besides, it's fun enough to watch ichigo grow in the SS arc.

Episode 13 finally got it back on track with the manga (sort of). Hopefully they stay more true to the manga in season 2 and tone down the annoying fan service a bit.

Btw how did moka recover her powers so fast after being drained by tsukune.
And moka in a hospitalbed after a fight i thought vamps healed almost on the spot.

Well I just finished watching the 13 episode subbed and I have to say. I am a more satisfied with it then any of the other episodes. Though I hope then come out with more soon. The fan service did not take away from the episode or maybe I was just to engrosed in the episode to notice. I give this episode a thumbs up. Even though I would have like to see Tsukune kick the fox's ass.

If they could make more episodes like that one, the show would be a lot more popular. =)

Just downloaded R + V on whim. If the manga is as good as everyone says it is, then just stick to that. The anime is about as cookie-cutter as you can get. I only watched the first two episodes and was hit with recurring/cliche themes of harem anime. The anime appears to be morally/romantically linear and it is coupled with almost spontaneous love and infatuation. No particular charm when the main guy met the main girl. He also seems to be drifting somewhere towards the whole HSD Kenichi's theme of protect the girl, which is being done poorly seeing as how in both cases the girl is stronger than the guy. The lead in a harem anime/manga makes the show and this one seems to have no particular merit to his character and is given a slightly annoying voice.

Pretty much anyone can skip this anime by without missing much. Might be entertaining to a first/second time harem watcher. But hey, if you like it that's fine too. To each their own, as lame as it sounds, it's true.

Somehow I knew there was going to be a second season. And just in time for Monsterland's favorite holiday, Halloween! That day is like another Christmas for them! Ok, I'll stop my racist remarks against Yokai kind now. Though I did find the anime a bit lackluster, I did like a few of the episodes. And it is nice to see the characters in animation and with their own voices and everything, it helps bring life into their Manga counterparts. I'd especially like to see maybe Kokoa come by the school. But the part about Anime Only characters....ah hell I knew it! Herman Monster is coming to visit the Academy! Errm, anyways all jokes aside I wonder what Anime only characters will appear? Maybe another vampire to compete with Tsukune for Moka? Or maybe the mother of one of the Yokai Girls will come by and visit? *Psst*, that would be the time for you guys from the 'other' thread to start dreaming and drooling right now. :D

i personaly ignore the fanservice xD but i like the anime better because i like seeing the fights animated and you feel the characters emotions more because of the sound and the voice actors. also i would have never known the manga exsisted without the anime :D

I think that the manga is a little better. With the manga, you dont have to worry about cruddy voice actors, you can just immagine what the voices would be. Also, having the manga allows for the anime's to be created, without the manga the anime's would not be created.

haha on a side note I finally mustered the energy to actually watch the current 5 eps of Soul Eater, it's pretty good actually and seems like it may be one of those that has potential to become one of the "famous" series (DBZ, One piece, gay naruto etc...) although I hate how everyone compares it to bleach =_="

I did get a little choke up with the anime, compare to reading the Manga "nothing". Manga is alright, but for a true medium of giving the most emotional drama content, it can't deliver against anime, when done right... IMHO.

Amen to that. I think you've got a real good point here.

Also when Moka transformes, the anime they've used lightning effects. The dark skies and flying bats really gave the impression that something big was going to happen. That just didn't came out right in the Manga.

Something else, the anime was, as a lot of you guys already noted, totally different from the manga. But could someone please tell me what exactly happend at the end of episode 9.
It looked like Tsukune was injured bad, or perhaps even killed, and all of a sudden, Moka transformed, and Mizore and Kuruma started to attack Ruby.....end of episode. In Episode 10 all is well. I'd expected all hell broke lose, but they didn't show us anything. Please help me out here :confused:

I read about Tsukune becoming a Ghoul, I thought that the creators would use this point in the anime to give it a little spin and make Tsukune more of an interesting character.

They could also have used it, as the first moment Moka gave her blood to Tsukune to save him, but just didn't show it. There could be a reference to it in season 2...

I felt a little disapointed that Tsukune didn't finish the job himself in Ep13. However in the manga it took several times of "blood donorship" in order for Tsukune to become a vampire.

Regarding to the Manga vs Anime discussion; I'll try not to compare the Anime to the Manga. The difference in the storyline is just to big. With the extra dynamics I find the Anime more enjoyable than the Manga. Let's just hope they will put some more effort in the storyline of the upcoming season.

Yeah, she is a great voice actress and can change her voice to sound alot diffrently. She has voiced in alot of anime series so if you watched alot of anime then you have probobly listened to her many times. Her powerfull singing voice is also rather suppricing as she is rather tiny.

It's really amazing how one person is able to sound in so many different ways.

Regarding to the songs. All main characters did 2 songs for the series. I think they sold them on 6 different albums/singles, one for each character.
The cd's also have very nice covers.

yep the last episode was the worst. And by watching other animes and read reading mangas r+v starts to become more crappy than ever, cuz in manga is a lot of dumb things like such tsukunes shyness of touching girls and trying ot kiss them, those nosebleedings, and when he fights with enemy he gets injured badly and when he uses ghouls powers he is healed already;D he never looses and such pure friendship...(puke) i think there isnt such thing in all world. I think both Moka's already are infatuated. But both Tsukune and outer Moka is rather innocent so even if they start to show it more so shouldnt you expect them to do more then hug and just maybe kiss. Its afterall a romantic story :)
