The second opportunity could be that Orochimaru is free now and takes over the body of weakened Itachi or Sasuke.

i hate the idea for itachi to die alone that sucks but i guess kishi always make some of his charactors so powerful this is the only way to get rid of them for example sasori who cannot be killed and the forth :D

anyway i think and i hope the oro have something to do with itachi's death

I am sure that Itachi is dead, either from exhaustion (chakra is life energy and maybe he tapped into his own life force too much to keep going) or because that snake bit him. Anyway it is a clever move by Kishimoto to let Itachi die without Sasuke gaining a clear victory.

hmm!! the drama will end!! the snake bit itachi with a poison fang and itachi dead...and no clear victory for sasuke....but a victory for the snake! O.O

That just means that Sasuke isn't satisfied. Because what would sasuke do after he really killed itachi ? Well we don't know what he might do now, but he might goa bit crazy you know, or to satisfy himself by trying to kill madara too because he was also behind the attack.

He probably turns into the same monster like Orochimaru or his brother.
In the end naruto rescues sasuke from his own darkness or maybe Sasuke dies as a friend....... ^^ You know the usual happy-end crap where former friends battle each other.

But it would be nice if naruto actually looked like that and actually became strong enough with enough jutsu's. Right now, Sasuke pwnz him and knows much more jutsu then Naruto.

What's a Hokage who has less knowledge about jutsu's then the average Jounin -_-

Naruto is still a genin and for that level his jutsu are quite good :p And each shinobi got a limited number of preferred jutsu, no one complains about Shikamaru only using Kagemane, right? Kakashi supposedly knows a thousand jutsu yet he prefers Raikiri. Naruto will always use Kage bunshin and Rasengan, and few other jutsu. And strength isn't only measured by the number of jutsu that one does possess.

And while it seemed that Sasuke got the advantage over Naruto more so than ever, he lost all the powers he gained from assimilating Oro. That puts them closer to each other again imo.

It would be far better if he could throw it somehow. Longrange attack......
Or a bunshin has to hit with it....

I stopped likeing Naruoto but I still read it XD
The reason for that is that the story develops pretty slow and it's called Naruto but the main character is Sasuke - by my opinion at least...Anyways it seems Sasuke one this one but won't get the chance to kill him since someone's gonna interfere and I dobt it's gonna be that Chocolate/Vanilla guy :p

well in my opinion the final form of naruto's rasengan will be a shippuuden, a throwing type rasengan

thats his only way to use his potent and destructive rasengan, we all know that he cannot use it for close combat since he also gets severely damaged

so in the end he will eventually learn how to throw his wind charged rasengan and its gonna be awesome indeed

well as of now i think he will use that rasengan once more time but will have to pay the price.....

In manga dont remember in which chapter but jyraia talked about time to learn him how to su summon it, also he said that only madara uchiha could do that but before jyraia's dying he left strange "thing" to naruto which helps to figure out how to summon it ;]

and the snake is orochimaru, he wounded by susano counter

but before itachi his consciousness, he threat sasuke like his brother(same as when sasuke ask itachi to teach throwing shuriken, i forgot what chapter)
