This relates to the post count images thread so i dont know if they should be merged. Whatever. This is fine.

So, any ideas on rank titles for forum members. As i understand from the boss-lady, venicia "pweeze:, rank relates to the number of posts you have made on the forum. Right now there is rank names like Junior Member Senior Member under each users name.

To go with the images i want everyones opinion on the rank titles/names as well as the post count level to get to that rank. Give it your best shot pirates yaaaaaaaaaaaaar :Show What you Got:

I would love to have sprites as the rank titles. I know that if we have sprites as the rank titles, it'll really boost the forums activity. it can be One Piece related like civillian/ new deckhand/ newbie pirate... etc.

and the level should be clse together at first with the gaps of 50 increasing two times as it goes up. Eg: 50/ 150/ 300/ 500... something like that?

Sprites are nice. Animated gifs will also be nice.

Yeah. Maybe we should do a sprite thing to surprise venicia-sama. The one she has now is cool and all but i at times feel it needs some movement in it. The movement is what i like.

So B-one what names/titles do you have? This goes for anyone too

I also like ,I think it was fiendish's idea, to have multiple image/tags/titles, like king of the arcade, leaderboard's leader, that goes for the #2 and #3 too^^. top poster, birthday sign, mods, translator, VIP, scanlator...^^. A bit like the rotating highscores pics.

My title: I like the idea of having bounty level^^. Well I would currently have something like a 6000000 bounty or something like that. I could be a "Grand-Line Pirate"^^. If we do have that multiple title thingy, I would have the mod, translator(starting this week), top poster, 2nd place for highscore and leaderboard... that would be fun. What about you Kenjimaru??? Black Ops? ^^

Although the bounty idea is from vegapunk i still like the idea, and i think it would work really well here aswell. as for sprites i don't know, a picture of whatnot would be nice i guess.

This is nice, kenjimaru. You are trying very hard to help the forum in your own since you cant help the scanlation- like you said before. Very good indeeed.

So for now, you guys, all the staff hopefully, participate and deliberate on giving rank titles to forum members. The final titles can be written on sprites, animated gifs, or just random images. Maybe the lower tier posts dont need to be animated while the higher tier ones get animation.

Couldn't Pirate King be the rank reserved to only the top poster and then have everyone under them ranked according to the number of posts? This way, even when a bunch of ppl get past 5000 posts, there won't be multiple Pirate Kings. just my 2cents.

There are actually seven regular moderators (or so I think: B-One, fiendish_imp13, Goji, Kaizen, kenjimaru, makhan, Zilirand - correct me if I'm wrong) and one global moderator (Angelz). Eight is almost like 7 :D I really like the idea of being pirate god :)

We shouldn't use marine ranks. because we're pirates :D

yeah...a new rank system would be good, but everyone's opinion of One Piece characters vary, one may like on more than another. One may like Ussop better than Zoro. Sure, the skill levels are obvious, but you never know if Oda will someday make one person stronger than another. I suggest something a little more one-for-all thing. I dunno, put bounties on people's heads (higher post = higher bounty)? And for you massive post count fools, you could do those special ranks (shibukai, yonkou, sengoku, kaizoku-ou, and anymore that come out). Just talk this out guys, and one you got something you all agree on, ask for the change, see if you can help in anyway, etc.

Rank title is gonna appear under "shichibukai" name. So yeah, everyone gonna be able to get devil fruit ability. Everyone gonna get two names when Rank name come in. We must agree on a final list of names/rank titles though. And then we also must design the ranks images that go with titles .

Happy that I stirred it up again... this thread died 4 times already. I partially agree with you real0st. It's true that those skills would be hard to do if maybe Usopp becomes more important so we have to be more general. I like the idea of bounties but doing this would get hard because I think that it shouldn't be directly related to the post count. If we had the thank you hack count, it could be related to how many time you have/have been thanked... but we have to find something, the devil fruit abilities would also be pretty interesting but it would be hard to do... maybe just the "colored" people could have them but who would do that??? I hardly see Venicia putting everyone's title one after the other... Continu to talk about it^^. Post your own ranks idea:p

I kinda like real0st's idea of using bounty amounts for the post count ranks, cause lets face it...no one can really agree on who is better/stronger than each other in luffy's crew. Or we could give basic crew titles: Captain, General, Solider, Servant, Civilian. (that's all i could think of atm). This way, as the dynamics of the OP crew changes, it won't be out dating our site.

the numbering system your using there is a little odd though, and seems a bit high besides me and you (and sanji i guess) not many ppl post alot so the ranks would be depressinly low for a lot of ppl. So maybe lower the mark a bit, and it can be ajusted later when/if more ppl start getting lots more posts

Yes admin can set it for members to have a title per group or let the user have a custom title that they can set in there usercp. Usually, having a user created title is used for "must have x amount of posts".

User rank images are set per usergroup, not each person.
Which I don't think Ive seen any made yet.

The 3150 could be something like, "New World" Pirate or "Grand Line" Pirate or something. Or maybe Pirate Fleet Commander? hehe

rank titles are definitly a good idea.
there is also the rep system or whatever that we dont have, which is fine with me as it comes with its own set of problems, however, it seems to attract some people it encourages people to try and post meaningful things in order to recieve pos rep, however neg repping can get out of control and cause dissention, but most big and active forums have it so...
not sure what is involved in putting in a rep system,
maybe this needs its own thread?

Posts: 1400 = Bounty: 14,000,000 B

or and I think this one's better:

Well we make one with the biggest avatar size that is allowed and not change it for every avatar coz it's normač if you have a smaller avatar to have a bit of space on the sides or the top and bottom!!
