1) Put the FULL title of the series in the thread title.
EXAMPLE: Request: History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi
Nobody will know what HSDK means unless they follow the series. If you're trying to attract translators to do a series for you, let them know what the heck they're going to translate.
2) Add a description of the series.
This helps stir some interest. You can get manga descriptions off sites like mangaupdates. Images and pictures help too. There's always Google and Yahoo!
If all else fails, add your personal description.
EXAMPLE: I can't find a good enough description for this awesome series, but I really really want to scanlate it because the images I've seen look so damn funny! Like the part where the main character got into a fight of some sort and tried to avoid the bad guys chasing him by dressing up as a girl.
3) State what languages you have the raws in.
EXAMPLE: I have the raws for this series in Japanese and Chinese!
4) Leave a link to the raw download OR your contact details.
EXAMPLE:
