Well i couldnt just go on without having a topic for my favorite series. The 1st season was really good and hooked me instantly and even tho the 2nd season starts off slow i would still recommend everyone to give this anime/manga a try.

recently watch episode 21 and it was just amazing prolly the best ep of any season so far.

i really enjoyed the 1st season as well , but for some reason the 2nd season lost my interest during the first couple episodes. i'm sure the reason for those episodes was for character development and prep for specific events, but it killed the interest. i'll give it another go after its complete.

oh once you get to episode 12 the season is awesome Pheles,silver,and sabrac come.

episode 21 the fight with sabrac was soo epic i mean it was a grand ending that i wish could have been the season finally or wish that sabrac coulda been the last boss. He was a cool character dual swordman which was awesome. They actually lift half the city in the air to defeat him. If you take the last half of the season its been better than season 1

well its a big difference from season 1 yuuji and season 2 yuuji - i can see why its so interesting, but i'll wait till its done then rewatch it all again.

haha yeah i know that twist dancu which should be awesome. Doesnt the last book come out soon? I would also assume there is gonna be a season 3 since they have introduced silver and with only 3 eps left i dont think they conclude the story even if they had a fake ending.

Well yuji doesnt really kick ass till around ep 18 but yeah he is awesome when he fight with bloodsucker. Season 3 if there is one he will really be kick ass

haha i just finished the new ep and i gotta say it had some pretty funny moments for once. The shana thing demanding to know how to make babies was priceless. Looks as tho they are drifting away from the novels a bit with the ending i just hope its open ended and not an original ending cus i love to see a Season 3. I also hope snake makes an appearence by the end of this season.

Well everything was told already about Shakugan no Shana s1,s2 so there is practically nothing more to add,but . . .

It is a must see anime. Manga is good too though it doesn't have that much chapters yet. I recommend it to all!

I was also a lil surprised that sabrac was still alive considering the all out epicness they did for his battle in ep 21, but he is one of the best villains they have so its not a bad thing to see him alive.

I watched season 1 and started watching s2 coz the first one was good, but I have to say: The second season reminds me of Zero no Tsukaima s2 - which sucked by the way!! So I droped it around ep 7, too boring for my taste. But tell me if there's a manga based on it :D

well you dropped it when it was doing some slice of life filler you should really pick it back up once it got to ep 11 and 12 with the arriving of pheles its been as good as season one. Lol and this season is no where near as bad as ZnT 2(hope season 3 is better). There is a manga for SnS not sure how far it is tho.

I am one of those who actually enjoyed the entire second season and while I enjoy action I also like just character interaction as well. I admit I didn't like the initial backtracking of Yuji and Shana's relationship though. I am hoping they don't do that at the beginning of the third season since they implied he made his decision. But of course it seemed that way after season 1 too.

Ive got to say that Shakugan no Shana was a really good adaptation of the original light novels, even though it didnt really stick to the original storyline. J.C. did a good job in throwing in a lot of original content as far as i'm concerned, so im happy - even though the Konoe Fumina arc was pretty filler-ish. xP

I also agree with whoever said ep21 was the best episode. The battle with Sabrac was EPIC. Especially luved they had "JOINT" as the bgm. luved it luved it luved it.

Still, )v(anic and others, if u're going to post anything plot-specific, please put spoiler tags around it as some people have not yet finished watching the series.

Sabrac.. He would have been a good "boss" for a ending of season two.
During season one I were so annoyed by Hecate. >_> She made weeeeird sounds when she "connected" with Yuuji.

yeah there will prolly be a season 3 in i would say 2 years since they have to wait for the novels to finish or get a good distance ahead. The slow start of S2 didnt bother me either but it did drag S2 down as i said tho the second half of S2 had the best material outa both seasons imo.

the battle against Sabrac is in XIV, and the novels are already up to XVIII, with another coming out in a couple of months.

Adding an arc concerning Mathilde Saint-Omer from X, and a few original episodes, they can make a full season.

I think we can expect season 3 from October 2009-March 2010

+1, didn't bather continue reading manga after chapter 30, though yet again I will say this: "First 10 eps of second season were made for those people who watched them not all at once, but one at the time! The same could be said about Jigoku Shoujo(Hell Girl). When I watched It all at once it really sucked(eps1-9), but after I started watching it 1 ep each week, I really enjoyed it till the end of the second season"

Well with all the pressure, it's inevitable that J.C.Staff (production) had troubles making it as good as season 1. After all, J.C. didnt think that Shana would be such a hit, and thought it would end with 1 season.

After the season ended, lots of fans wanted to see another season, and they had to come up with another season within the time frame of one year. That's why there's so many fillers - most likely the producers didnt want the anime to catch up to the original novels too quickly. That's why 1-10 is pretty filler-ish.

Still, i enjoyed the series, and the focus on the Shana-Kazumi-Yuuji relationship didnt bother me too much. :D

You should, sometimes it's a lot more interesting then manga and I don't mean just light novels, you can go for real mega size ones too like Jordan, Robert - Wheel of Time. Great books!! Read all 13 of them. I'm really glad I did.

Blutsauger is the name of the Hougu Yuuji uses in Season 2. It means "bloodsucker", or vampire in German, if im not mistaken.

Hmm, didnt this end up in the wrong section? I think the anime can be called Shounen for sure and the novel is listed as Seinen on bakaupdates.
