Thanks for the great work as usual.
I guess chapter 32 explains how things are happening in episode 9 of the anime (when Tsakune is in true danger, Moka-san can release the inner vampire)
As to Tsakune and his rosary locket, I think this is just a safe gap for him so he can learn how to control his new powers (and not turn into a ghoul - in my opinion)
But I am going to say thanks again cause I just got off work and its always great to be able to come home and read a new chapter of R+V.

What? Has Moka released her inner vampire by herself before chapter 32? O_o
If so, I have forgotten.

i belive over the next 6 chapters of the manga they will spontaneously combust.... all of them, and when r+v II arives they just act like nothing happend

03-04-2008, 01:42 AM
I think that Prez dude's going to be the first to actually be killed by Tsukune and Moka, then they'll crush his dead corpse into a ball and shoot some hoops. Though I'm sure Dark Moka has already taken a few lives already. However, there could also be a nasty backlash for Tsukune if he does kill that guy, guilt, remorse, etc.
Moka's rosary will probably have to get some repairs or even an enhancement after this though.
Ilesyt
03-04-2008, 02:07 AM
It seems like it , yup
Anti thesis will get his ass kicked in the next 6 chapters and the board chairman is probably acting dead, which he isn't.

:Hi:
Hey, I be new, arrgghh... That was fun and piratey. I have been reading R+V for a while now and just recently found a cache of back issues that I simply snorted through my eyeballs at a prodigious rate. I only had to wait three days for 32 :tongue1:, but alas now I do feel the long wait for the next release. So I will now fill my hollow life with this thread on said story. This has details pertaining to the new issue so:
What I want to know is did the surge of demonic energy coming from tskune actually originate with him or is it coming from moka and being channeled through him via their shared blood, or perhaps through those cute eyeball thingies what with their sympathetic connectin and all. I think this is relevant because if Tskune has suddenly increased in power then perhaps he is going to slowly change into a true vampire? Because that would be awesome. I mean before moka's blood only acted like fuel that he would burn up and then revert back to normal, but now in this goul-state his body must be producing it's own demonic energy or else he would run out, and if his body can make the energy then Moka's blood must have had a deeper effect than what we can see on his insides. Mabye his body was only going through goul-state as a journey to full-vampire. And whats with the holy lock? I wonder if it can actually run out of links or if they act as breakers on a house circuit:they blow and reset later. If so I really want to see what happens when his lock runs out of fuses.
See what I mean when I mention the hollow space. Hope I did the spoiler thingy right. Arrgghh...argh.
GrrDraxin
03-04-2008, 06:13 AM
I'm not so sure. The chairman did say something to the effect that his seal/lock was "growing nicely" in one of the previous chapters. I think he might have side-stepped the truth a little when he was explaining the "lock" to Tsukune and company. And as for said chairman, I think he'll live and even give Tsukune a special commendation for his current acts of heroism. After all, he IS trying to protect all ideals that the academy stands for. Well, a bit more than that, but you get the idea.
On a different note: [start rant]
I don't really understand the bashing of the anime. Though I do understand some points. However, in anime, or any other medium that's retelling the same story, a lot of the time you have to change things up here and there to keep things interesting even for those who already know the original story. I mean, would you still watch it even if it told the same story EXACTLY the same way with EXACTLY the same series of events, in EXACTLY the same order? Of course not. You'd already know what would happen next, and then you'd get bored real quick and then turn it off.
Then there's the issue of the limited time per episode(and number of episodes) to tell said story. Well, without getting bogged down with the details, it takes a whole lot more money to make an anime than to publish a chapter of manga, and both take about the same amount of time to do. So, yeah that's why manga is mostly superior to anime. Because one can cram a lot more story into the less expensive medium than the other.
That concludes my rant, now please, enough of the "the anime sux' bit. It gets old.:Geez:

Damnyebuttons,nice thoughts.
It is indeed possible that they will channel each others powers through each other because Tsukune got Moka's Blood, and Moka drinks Tsukune's blood almost every day.
It will probably be like the fusion in DBZ except they won't fuse together, only their power does :P

Thats not true Naruto and Bleach are almost exactly like the manga and they are 2 of the most popular anime. I read and watch both cus its one thing to read it but another when you get to see it in color and in motion. This is just like when hollywood makes a movie based on a book most ppl prefer it to be as close to the book as possible and bitch to high heaven when its not.
I also looked on crunchyroll and couldnt find chapt 33.

I think it's partly removed in some sense. That's why the "awakened" moka can pop out. And also, she is forcefully removing the Rosary, herself not being able to completely remove it. Thus, it's just hanging around her neck, partly removed. (I guess)
The anime is also faster because the planned eps are lesser than what the manga is doing. So, they're just compressing everything into the anime and the progression will be faster as well. I usually don't like anime version, cuz they'll shorten the story and create another ending.
denda2004
03-05-2008, 03:29 PM
yeah i agree on that one.
also if u mean on the anime shes got to emotional and caused the rosario power to weaken enough for Vampy moka to come out in anger :)
and i think the anime they might do some thing random and make tsukune a Ghoul on ep 10 >< wouldnt supprise me seen as they seem to be doing this sort of stuff alot in it.
as for manga its as elicit explained.

The funny thing is that the Anime kinda introduced me to this series. Well.....that and I've been attracted to Anime Vampires ever since Fai in Tsubasa was transformed into one. While browsing through Animepaper.com I came across a lovely picture of Moka in the Anime, and since I noticed her fangs and a bat by her I went to the section where the picture was from and looked up the series through Wikipedia, "Rosario + Vampire". Upon reading about it I almost lost interest, as it sounded like one of those anime brothels (I.E. Girls Bravo. *shudder*) that has been done a million times. But I decided to give it a chance but I had to wait a few days for someone to load up and sub the first episode on YouTube (since I read about the series in the last week of December of last year). It wasn't until shortly after I watched the second episode when I decided to give the Manga a try. I downloaded the first Volume and noticed that this series was quite different from any of those "brothel" series. First off, the atmosphere definatly feels 'darker' and more cryptic (Especially in a Monolith Software sort of way) since Tsukne is in a school for Monsters. Tsukne being in a school for monsters and fearing for his life helps with this feel, and that some of the school's students (and Staff) try to kill him. Especially Kurumu. Wow, what a Black Widow. Honestly, though I was starting to loose interest because it seemed to repeat the same cycle over, Tsukne getting himself into trouble and having to remove Moka's Rosary, which summons her 'Super Vampire' side and beats the crap out of Tsukne's opponents. But then at Vomule 2 the story gets more and more interesting, especially at the times Tsukne gets transformed into a Ghoul (Since then, the story has gotten darker and more dramatic). So far R+V seems different and more interesting than alot of those Brothel anime out there. And it gives me something to read while waiting for the Tsubasa Volumes to be released.
Oh, and as for Chapter 32 & 33 (which I'm waiting for an alternate translated chapter since the one at Manga Traders seems a bit...'iffy') I hope that SOB leader of the Anti-Thesis group gets what he deserves. For putting Tsukne and his Friends through hell like that, I want to rip him apart with my bare hands! Well......that is if I possessed Superman's strength. It seems like there's a consipracy at play, though, with the Board Chairman of the Yokai Academy. Something tells me that it was no mere accident that Tsukne was admitted to the school. What is the Chairman up to? Oh, and the scene where it gave a good idea of what would happen if the Humans and Yokai would go at it, that kinda reminded me of Hellgate London.
And there has been one thing that has really bothered me since the beginning of the series. The location of the school, is it hidden in a seperate world or in a pocket dimension located in Earth Somewhere?
Ilesyt
03-05-2008, 07:37 PM
1) Chapter 32 is out already in FH
2) Well I also kinda watched the first episode of the anime then started reading the manga and only watched the anime a bit until ep 4 becuase it started sucking since then.
3) Yeah, it is hidden in earth with a kekkai around it, and it seems it is in europe, somewhere in the vicinity of Belgium, France, The netherlands and Germany (in one of those countries, it could also be in Luxembourg, but the chance is rather small)

It IS Japan. In one of the early chapters, the bus driver, or someone else, explains the various connections to the school at different locations around japan, complete with map. The school itself could be located somewhere offshore or in Tokyo Harbor, probably on an island.
By the way, did anyone notice that Moka has no problem with daylight? Maybe she's a high enough level to withstand it, or she's natural Day Walker. Of course the whole "Holy Cross" thing doesn't effect her much either. Rosary: made by a yokai, for a yokai, how quaint.

Keep in mind that not all legends regarding vampires state that they died or would come to harm under daylight. In some older legends the Vampire could be able to move around under daylight, but they prefer the nighttime. Or in some they would be weakened under sunlight but they wouldn't be otherwise harmed. Now that I think about it, it's hard to imagine that if Moka was based off of the older Eastern Europe version of the vampire, she would be bloated and disgusting looking rather than very beautiful. The fact that they were hamed or killed under daylight was added at the turn of the 19th century. At least, that is what I read online. Perhaps Moka is based on the earlier legend of the vampire or some other variant where she can tolerate the daylight. And also Manga writers tend to change around Vampire strength and weaknesses.
Since I'm mentioning about Vampire legends, here's an interesting
site to read up on the legend of the vampire:
