Hello everyone,
As you may or may not have noticed we are doing our best to restructure the Franky House forum a bit. We want to improve the organization as well as the discussions component of this forum. This is where you the regular forum member comes in.

Simply put we are looking for volunteers who will want to help to run the main forums of Franky House. The forums includes all the forums you can access as a regular member when you click on this link: FH Forums (http://www.franky-house.com/forums/index.php). They will serve as moderators of the various sections they are allocated. All non-FH staff members can enter. Tell us in this thread the forum(s) you will want to moderate. Note that you may not get what you want. Final selections will be determined by the FH staff.
Among the duties will be to create and sticky threads, edit posts, add polls, give infractions to those who break the rules.For example if you are a moderator in the Releases Forum among your duties will be to find and post raws/translations of as many series that get released; while a moderator for the Naruto Discussion forum will create discussion threads when a naruto chapter is released, and so on. Most importantly, the moderator is supposed to keep his/her forum as lively and active as possible, to create as many interesting threads as possible. If you cant do this don’t apply.

The thread will be active for about two weeks unless situations change. Thanks to all that will apply to help Franky House in whatever way they can.

How big was the old forum you modded?: no experience but i know the work, i have constructed a free forum site in where i am the moderator and the admin, so i know how to edit post. Besides i've been to many forums site. I know the Job of the moderators.

What's your moderating style? my style in moderating is to warning the spammers and try to edit the post if the post is breaking rules. I love to crack jokes.

well depending on how many applications we get, it can just be a deciding factor later to sift through the applicants and who we actual give spots to. Cuz not that many people have lots of posts here. unless you wanna give spots to all the spammers :p

not everyone will get, and not everyone will get what they ask for...

@thegeass you are applying for a hard job there, u have to have a vast knowledge on various anime/ manga and start threads/ keep threads alive with that knowledge...u have to keep the discussion going while controlling the amount of spams...if you're really up for it, u have to start doing that now and i wish you all the best

scanlation staff have too much jobs to do so they cant really work on organizing forum much anymore. Thats why we are looking for moderators that can have their times to organize our forum. I hope we have lots of applications. :)

Well, ever since i joined, i've spent the most time in Intro, Become FH Pirate, and General. So, i think i can be a mod there...considering i've been around FH for four days/nights straight with no sleep, and VERY little breaks.

But thing is, being a moderator isn't just cleaning up the forums etc.
You still have to work with people and it's hard not to come across as 'overbearing king of the world' when giving infractions and stuff like that, so you're bound to get into some nasty arguments every once in a while.

Well, FH is a rather friendly site except for some people who swear a little, not really a lot of ego problems here, so I guess it's okay. >.<

OK, I have obtained permission from B-One to do this. Here is a guide to applying to become a moderator.

Before we start, don't apply if you think becoming a moderator is a game. It isn't. It's a responsibility.

1. Please, for the love of god, use proper english. Type out your words, put punctuation marks at the end of sentences, etc.
Please note that upon saying that, somewhere in my post there will be a punctuation error. It always happens. It's knows as irony.

2. Provide detail, and elaborate. Try and include relevant information in the application. Attempt to include the following in your application:
Name (as in what you'd like to be called):
Area you wish to moderate:
Amount of time you can dedicate to the forum per day:
Why you wish to moderate (elaborate):
Any previous moderating experiences? If so where? Do you still mod there? How big was the old forum you modded?:
Any previous relevant experiences (ongoing or ended)? Elaborate. These can be things as simple as being captain of a basketball team:
What's your moderating style? (if applicable. If not, try to guess):
Any additional information that may be relevant:

3. Decide how you want to write your application: in paragraph form or in survey form. I find that paragraph form tends to look much more professional. If you choose to do so, don't make 2 line paragraphs, that looks bad. You can combine like topics into one paragraph, and break long ones into two at logical points. Likewise, don't make one huge block of text. It's very discouraging reading such a huge block of text, and if the people who are selecting you as a mod (maybe) are being discouraged before even reading your application, that's not good. For those who go survey style (which is not a bad thing) it's a good idea to differentiate your answers from the questions by using different colors.

4. When writing out your application, you want to sound intelligent. Use a variety of words when possible, though it is understandable if english is not your primary language. Smiley's are bad when used in excess, try to limit them to when they're very appropriate (see the next sentence) or, if possible, don't use them at all. Making witty comments and interjections into your application is a good thing- the people reading it are human, remember. Humans don't mind a bit of amusement. Still, don't sacrifice being professional for being funny- the latter is merely something that compliments the former. Remember, as a mod, you need to behave professionally at almost all times on the forums (in theory).

5. Proofread your application. Ask someone else to read it for you and make corrections. Spell check. Then, finally, make your post.

If you're talking about the box on top with scrolling lists, it's not possible, it's coded in such place that only admins can change it. If you're talking about whole releases forum, you would have to move all old releases to appropriate subforum and keep the list with all FH releases updated (link in my sig). Would be nice if someone could take care of it :]

I can Moderate the new forum R+V, that's what I'm most interested in. My second interest would be ùgeneral, but there alot of moderators alreadyn though I will apply if there aren"t enough.

I was originally the owner/founder of GalaxyGaming but I have decided to let my friend to handle the website/forums for the time being. Currently, a forum moderator since I feel like being a forum moderator than an admin.

Timezone: My timezone is GMT +8. Most of the time, I'm online starting from 7:00 AM up to 12:00 PM for some reasons.

The reason why I would like to moderate the Bleach forum is because I am a huge Bleach fan. I also own my own Bleach website, and forums. I also know that I can be on here every evening after work to do what is needed to be done for the Bleach forum.
My website (www.bleachwarriors.com) and forums have been up just under a year, and I have been taking care of the site and forums, "with the help of a couple of friends" for as long as it has been up. My style is to make sure people will follow the rules, such as no spamming, and no double posting, ect.
I have been watching Bleach for over two years now, and I believe that it is the best anime series yet. I am 25 years old (Ya I know I'm old lol) and work in the oilfield during the day, and I have the evenings off. If I know I have to work late during the week I will make sure that I will let someone know so that if I don't make it one night, someone will know why I was not here.

Previous Modding Experience: I've modded for a resource forum(skins/gfx) Called Sleek Styles, big community(deleted by a Hacker >.<) I've moded for another resource site that was huge but I can't remember the name because they banned me for joining sleek styles. I've modded for another resource forum used to be called Kamikaze GFX but it's changed and I don't remember what happened there O_o.

Modding Style: I like to have fun and joke around but I will be serious If I have to.

Completely following the guidelines:

Name: Hinamori/Hina/Hina-chan (Note they are just nicknames and obviously not my real name. *laugh*)

Area I wish to moderate: General

Amount of time I can dedicate to the forum per day: A few hours anytime Monday through Friday, anytime after 12:30pm eastern time Saturday through Sunday (because I wake up that late).

Why I wish to moderate: I like to help people, so moderating would give me a chance to do that. I'm very reliable, even if others may not think so (laughs). I like Franky House, so it would be fun to be a moderator in the forums here. I am active on other forums at Onemanga and Animecrazy, so I have experience with forums, and can help with things easily. I like to help keep the order in things.

Previous moderating experiences: I'm not officially in a mod position in the Animecrazy forums, but I have a friend who holds a mod status, and I look around the forums for anyone who is breaking the rules (multiple posts, cursing, flaming, inappropriate avatars or signature pictures, etc.), and help by giving her usernames of the ones who broke them.

Moderating style: I try to have fun and be nice most of the time, always with some level of seriousness, but when needed, I am completely serious, and if ever needed, strict.

In addition, my primary language is English, so most of the time what I say is easy to understand. I would really enjoy being a moderator, because it gives me the chance to help out. Forgive me if I made any spelling errors or made punctuation mistakes anywhere in my application. It happens sometimes, so it's understandable.

Well, this is just in case you are still accepting applications. It's understandable if you're already done, but I wanted to make sure anyway.

Alright people..
I believe it is time to close the applications. We've gotten 18 applications and that is a good number. To all who applied, FH sincerely thank you for willing to spend time to help us moderate the forums.
