Wanna help with translating R+V

Hi guys I recently picked up R+V and liked the manga. I know someone else is doing it already but since every chapter is darn long I figured I may offer my help.

Anyways, I am posting my translation of chapter 33. I've never actually typed a script before so my guess is that it may not be in the style you guys prefer.

I'll put it in spoiler tags so as to prevent spoiling it for someone else ;P

Hihi Raptorfalcon, I'm the current translator of R+V series. I can see that you're translating from Japanese to English, however, I feel that your translation is missing some of the particles. Not sure whether the term is correct but for example, Tomeru (to stop), direct translation will be "stop". However in that context I think it would be better to say "I will stop you". The sentence sounds better imo. But that's just me.

Overall I think your translation is quite good. But for R+V, I believe we're not rushing the series and atm I have no intention of having another translator on this series unless llinnin decides not to help me.

Btw i didn't edit everything, cuz if not i'll have to go thru this again when llinninn sends me his transcript.

Nah its okay. As for the "can't" and "won't", I feel that it shows more resolution when he says that as compared to "can't". But both are interchangeable.

The rest is more on translation issue on what is he really trying to say. Japanese is very slip short, they don't use a full sentence, so when translating to english, you usually have to type in more words or cut short when they beat around the bush because it won't sound proper.

The part where he says tome..ru, imo it feels like hes telling him "not to move" instead of "i will stop you" if you just put "stop" in the translation.. but thats just me.

Well, I don't see any problems with the current pace of releases. I'm currently still able to translate on time and I do have someone else helping me atm. So instead of doing R+V, he could pick up some other series.

i guess your right... as is the cleaners and everyone else can't keep up with you. guess i'm just a greedy leacher ;). i should really wish i didn't do sports... i could help with the cleaning. rosario vampire is gaining popularity. i know you have a bunch of trainees working on it right now but why not add a page at the end of the next couple of chapters saying something like "if you want this manga to be released sooner we are looking for cleaners." Then you could just oversee them with a vet cleaner. lol starting to reveal my greedy side again.

Squirrelord has already translated Season Two and he's up to date on it. R+V seems to be going well.

I'd like you to take a look at Kaibutsu Oujo. It's a good series and I feel that not enough attention is paid to it. I've done the translation for Chapter 9. Pick up from Chapter 10 please~

he did 33 so elicit can see if there is any problem then fix it and we use it

then he go for 34 or 35 if elicit is doing 34 and like that we get more translate and less work for elicit

Well, I wouldn't mind doing another series that I like. I didn't like the kaiubutsu oujo anime and didn't even know there was a manga :(

In general I like action, comedy and ecchi if the story is good. The mangas I don't like would be those with drama, horror and any girly thing as the main theme.

I just started reading Negima!? Neo (Just unzipped ch6) but so far it doesn't seem that good (just a kind of bad retelling of the original so far).

If you guys have any suggestions on any manga just post them (or let me know where to go).
