The Training of the Grasshopper (student)

Alright, I'm going to be the Grasshopper, will any of you Senseis take me as your student? (bowing at 15 degrees)

Ok, I'd like to learn what it take to clean the raws and try learn how to use anime fonts on the pages. I'll be reading the guidelines and tutorials to know what need to do. Give me time in reading - thanks.

I had already tried do a few raw pages before I come to this forum, so that is pre-Frank House stuff - lol! Maybe if posting that - some of you might be able to point me where I go wrong?

Makham gave me the url link for the "offical" test - have this in my file to try out. Also gave me the fonts for to use in my training.

First of all - there are couple of questions I need to ask:

Can any of you tell me how I can put the anime fonts into the photoshop program? The fonts is in a seperate file in my computer, so I want to move it into the PS software for the use. I've tried doing that but seems not working? Thanks for the help!

hrmm install fonts?
if you're using windows XP then go control panel
switch to classic view
open up fonts folder, then put the fonts there
then open up PS and the font will be there

If you're on Windows then go to Control Panel>Fonts>Menu Bar:File>Install fonts

Installing of fonts passed, my PS now have them stored. Looking good by testing (happy dance). Should be fun playing and testing on pages this weekend.

Ok, download a free demo of Neatimage to try out with filtering and learning a bit more. It'd gonna take some time to be familair with the settings. Seems as I went thru, I start to see I might need to purchase a home ediiton since the free demo program is kinda limited in some settings.

Futhermore, I now have to buy a new upgrade of PS to get up to the level required to match many settings. My PS 5.0 don't have some settings in there. I'm still in studying and learning but am starting to understand a few things at least...

ok u should get PS CS3 and neat image all from torrent :D and get the crack from there or PM i have one for PS and whole neat image(3mb only)

just download PS CS3 then PM :D

Well, I'll have to check in torrent and see if there's one to download. I was gonna bid for a PS 7.0 but at this moment - the bidding up to $91.00 ... likely it'd break past $100 or more. More than what I have in funds lol.

Will PS CS3 work with older software like the 5.0 version? From what I see, seems CS3 are in PS 8.0 and higher. CS2 can work for 7.0 or less.
