Survival Horror games

Just wondering what everones favourite series of Survival Horror games is?
Mine is Silent Hill closely followed by Resident Evil.
I also really enjoyed the Project Zero games as they totally freaked me out with all those ghosts flying about and popping out of no where.
Another cool Survival Horror game is Kuon about a haunted Shinto shrine. It's a really creepy game and the plot is really freaky.

doom3? the latest horror type game that i've played and liked was Bioshock. it's actually a pretty good game. the one game i wanna play is resident evil 5, i've seen trailers for it and it looks awsome.

Doom 3 was pretty scary espically in some of those dark corridors when the monsters jump out at you. I haven't played Bioshock yet but I've been watching the boyfriend play it and it does look like a really good game.
I'm really looking forward to Resident Evil 5 it looks to be a lot of fun and it will be good to play with Chris again. It's been a while.

I don't think i really played any survival horror games besides Resident Evil ones. But i remember my friend talking highly about Doom 3, and we ended up having a running joke from it about some fat zombie in it.

oh what? a girl who is addicted to video games? wow never new there were any out there ahahhaa. btw have you played FEAR by any chance? really good game, it has quite a bit of good suspense sections where you will literally shit bricks :)

Yep I'm one of those rare creatures *laughs* Yeah I really enjoyed Fear as well. I really looking forward to when they release the expanstion pack on the X-box 360.

Umm... Half-life series? Is that horror I think it is if not Silent hill and Fear

I'd call it more of sc-fi type thing though those face humping things are pretty damn disturbing.

FEAR was kinda fearsome XD. I remember playing resident evil one once, and I was followed by a couple of zombie without knowing how to shoot and was terrorized (I was 12 y-o) XD. I found castle wolfenstein 3d (the first) realllly scary but then again I was like 10 year old. Those damn dog running at you and biting you....aaaaaah^^

When we first got Silent Hill we had a surround sound systerm set up and I was playing it in the dark on my own. I'll never do that again it was way to scary. *shiver*

ahah on my xbox360/computer i have a sorround system that has a peak of 500watts and when i usually play the xbox i can feel everything. sometimes i feel way too much >.<

I read the manga for it and watched the movie. It was a pretty interesting series even if it was really heavy on the blood and guts.

Reminds me of that random chapter of Gantz i practiced typesetting with, Second page is a naked girl, few more pages her whole side is blown apart with her ribs showing and guts flying everywhere.

Lol it's soooo simple. He jumps from a balcony to another and can't lift himself. Then a bird shits on his hand, his had slides and he fall down the building and dies XD. That's soooo cool XD

Oh gods now I remeber it was pretty similer in the film as well. That guy really had no luck.

That doesn't sound cool, that sounds like such a lame anti-climatic ending. But i never watched / read it so maybe the way the plot and characters were set up it made it satisfying lols.

Well I think it was funny and good, you should read it it's only 40 somethin chapters

It's pretty amushing really. The whole manga while pretty gross doesn't really take itself to seriously which is never a bad thing.

ahh i thought it was pretty seroius and stuff do to how gruesome you were descrivbing it. So then that ending seemed ridiculous and out of place but i guess it isnt soo bad. (although now the ending spoiled for me if i do read it xD)

Well to summarize da story I would say that it's a battle of the perfect sadist -vs- the perfect masochist...which is kinda weird since one wants to hurt the other while that one wanna get hurt by him XD.

I had that happen with the first Silent Hill game I was playing it in the dark with the surround souind on. My husband won't even look at the games now because that creeped him out so much.

We're both 28 and still get freaked out playing scary games espically those Project Zero/Fatel Frame ones. They are damn creepy with those ghosts jumping out all over the place.
