Hi,
I'd like to translate or check translations of Claymore. Obviously Japanese-English, could also do Japanese-German if desired.

I have to admit I'm a little confused about the availability of raw Claymore manga. I looked in Shounen Jump last September when I had a chance to go to Japan, and the chapter of Claymore that I saw there has not been released yet. It was some sort of flashback about how Isley met Priscilla, and I have no idea what chapter it was but it's got to be way later than chapter 78. Unfortunately, I don't know of any way to get a hold of old Shounen Jump issues, especially since I'm not in Japan anymore... but it seems like it ought to be possible to get them, or at least get the latest ones, even if there's a break in the story... Maybe someone can fill me in on the details, like where the current (monthly?) Claymore chapters are coming from, and why they're so far behind...
That was a special that was released in shounen jump while waiting for the remodeling of the new jump^2!

Hello~
Do a translation and post it up on the translations board.
Welcome to Franky House~!
Okay, I translated Claymore 77. Unfortunately, I had already read two translations before I started, so it's very likely that my translation was influenced by them...
Where do I post this? Do I start a new thread in this forum:
Franky House > The Grandline : Manga & Anime > Scanlator/Translator Arena?
And how do I go about uploading the translation? (I currently have it written into the raw manga, and for some reason the size grew quite a bit, it's like 31MB now)

You mean you typeset...?
Don't worry about being influenced~ It's OK as long as the story flows and the readers know what you're getting at. In time to come you'll develop your own style, so fret not! (^.^)
And I think you got the wrong idea... Haha... Take a look at the Translations board. Nobody typesets the text into the raw... Not that I've seen so far, at least. That's the job of the typesetter.
Take a look at the guide that I've written for potential translators. The link is in my signature.
To post translations go to :

Okay, I posted a text version under translations.
I didn't really think of it as typesetting, I just wrote the text into the page because I figured that way I wouldn't risk missing anything... But it was very crude, no attempt at matching the fonts or anything. Anyway, I'll remember not to bother with that for next time :-)
Looking forward to the next chapter on March 4th.

Well, the only manga I'm reading myself are Claymore and Hunter X Hunter, and of those two, Claymore is much easier to translate, probably because the characters hardly say anything. I'd offer to help with Hunter X Hunter but I'm not sure I could do an adequate job translating it...
I was thinking of translating the Seirei no Moribito novel, but that's a bit of a long-term project, and of course it's not manga...
