Hi^^
I would like to know what the actual job of a forum moderator is.

Dont they just keep order on a forum, sticky threads, ban people, etc.

hmm- how do i answer this. what kenjimaru says above is the general sense of a moderators job. But in the nutshell a moderator 's functions will be Site and Forum specific. For example, only a scanlator or a manga editor should be made a moderator of a forum like the Training Workshop. Because he will be expected to answer questions related to cleaning to the best of his abilities.

On the other hand anyone can be a moderator in the Music/TV/etc forum. And that of the Releases/Downloads section. While the moderator in the Music forum will be monitoring chat and making sure no pirated material is being posted in that section the one in the Releases/Downloads will make sure that s/he searches for anime/Manga releases across the web, start/post release info if it hasnt already being started on a weekly basis.

I think the above should be self explanatory. Most importantly the moderator must be honest and online not everyday but regularly

I would like to be the arcade moderator :p. It seems it's the only place where I might know stuff/help people getting around. I won't be the only candidate XD. Goji wanted to do something like that if I rembember correctly.^^

Nope but I don't think we can stop the Venicia-mum thing now...:3. For the translation... I can do it but since french is one of the hardest language at writing, proofreading is important. That's why I wish Goji was here... BTW I PMed him saying that he should come back since this place is awesome and all^^
