Does anyone know what happened to the Monster Princess scanlation project?

The scanlator has dissapeared for more than a month now and strangely, nobody seems interested in picking up this title at all. Yet we have redundant what, half a dozen groups doing titles like Bleach and Naruto...

Well that happens quite often... unfortunately I don't know this serie so I can't help you... you must wait for another group to pick it up^^. Or if you have the raws, trans, you can suggest that we start doing this serie in the appropriate thread:D. If it gets enough of us interested in doing it, we could do it!

If so, ask Reiu, he was scanlating this series.

Well, since Kaibutsu Oujo literally translates as Princess of Monsters, I would imagine that Question is talking about Reiu.

The issue with the scanslation is simple; Reiu was not only scanslating, but more importantly, translating the series. Translations are, by far, the hardest part to find for any given scan. If we had a translator, I wouldn't mind doing the editing at all... but we don't. So until Reiu's schedule lightens up, or another translator picks up the series, we're stuck.

Hmm so i take it no one here has the raws either? Arent they available at the usual places? The series seems like a decent title judging from the few panels ive seen, and most people i know who have read it liked it at the very least.

There are some raws provided by Reiu, but I don't know the details since I'm not into this series. But if you have any question about this title, you should ask Reiu, he was scanning it, translating, cleaning and typeseting, so he can answer all of your questions :)

i just finish watching the anime myself and i have to agree with the people on this topic to see if this could still be translated? i was flipping through the current vol raws seems like vol 6 continues off from where the anime ended.

Wow, I just watched this anime recently, cause I was bored - I wouldn't mind reading the manga (well, does the kid EVER get any powers, or is he just a meat shield every chapter?)

manga is different in its approach
he's just a meat shield in the manga also but he does learn to sync or feel for hime. i guess its just moments where he looks like he gets powers. the manga is more bloody than the anime and better overall

yea, i think one manga has ch 1-8, but that's the most i've been able to find. :( that's why i'm trying to get a scanlation team to start the project again because it has an incredible amount of potential and right now it's just going to waste.

He meant... take the raws, make it less crappy, erase the japanese text, and insert the english translation into the speech bubbles.

By cleaning, he means taking the raw, making it clean (whites white, blacks black, grays gray, no dust, etc.) removing japanese text and typesetting (putting english text in place of japanese)
