I took a look at the raws for Ch 25. Looks like another filler chapter...but at least this one looks the least bit entertaining! Here's hoping I'm not wrong...

I only took a look at the first few pages, so this isn't really a spoiler or anything, but: It seems Yukari's latest device is finally done! It is a device that magically switches the bodies of the two people holding it! She obviously intends to use it for mischief, but as she falls asleep, Fan-fan wanders in and get curious. The end result is Yukari in Fan-fan's body and vice-versa.

And much hilarity ensues! I think it looks fun, at least for a filler chapter with a somewhat common plot theme. Now, let the flood-gates OPEN!

I was so sure that Fairy Tail would have sent assassins to the school by now as retribution for foiling their plans, as well as to keep them from getting in their way in the future. It could be that they are still making out their plans as to how to take them out, waiting for them to come back to the human world (luring them into a trap), The School chairman (AKA the exorcist) has too many defenses around the school, or all of the above. Or maybe they're just too dumb.

Even though this chapter isn't anything I haven't read and watched from other Anime/Manga series (it also seemed alot like a typical R+V Anime to me) I couldn't help but wonder if all these filler chapters were meant to be a buildup of some kind, and that soon something major will happen? Maybe Fairy Tail will send assassins for sure in the not too distant future and something serious will happen to one of the main characters, Fairy Tail somehow creates another conflict in the school (trigger another riot, maybe), or something else even more sinister. Perhaps they could take down the barrier that shields them from the human world, and thus have the humans and Yokai fight. After all, Fairy Tail does not wish for peace between the humans and Yokai. Lord knows at this point, but I'm beginning to wonder if there is a real reason behind all these (pointless) fillers?

You have a valid point, about Fairy-Tale. They likely can't penetrate the school grounds. I see the next 1, maybe two chapters being like this one and the two before it, however, within the next two to three chapters, I foresee something epic and cliffhanger-ish happening at the very end of a filler-looking chapter. ...of course, anyone who happens to visit fanfiction.net every now and then may know what I'm hoping and pray for...

Anyway, about Ch25. I think it looks like a typical filler chapter; like you said, something reminiscent of the R+V anime. I am intrigued to see what happens, since it looks like at least a step up from the last two chapters, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Well, a manga isnt a contest to get to the end as fast as possible but its the way there that you should enjoy. Thus it doesnt matter if its a filler or not as long as its entertaining.

Sorry, first time creating a sticky thread :D Thanks to Lingwe for editing the post.

I'm not saying that filler chapters are bad in terms of entertainment, but they seldom add to the plot. In the end it's just situational comendy, which gets old after three or four chapters...anyway, I suppose the verdict will be in when our graecous translator finishes the translation. OK so i downloaded the raws and looked at the pages and yeah i';m happy she gets some manga scene time and everything but the mingwong whatever guy needs to go off and die....hate him.....really hate him. *sigh*

New characters are tedious, but while he's here we might as well accept him. Sounds to me like Akihisa-sama wanted another male lead who acted nothing like any of the other male sub-characters, like Gin or loli-karate-dude. As for the chapter, I'm not a huge fan of fillers, but then again, the series would hardly be so great without idle, random happenings like this.

Actually at the moment I'm too busy to translate Rosario to Vampire so the translator who did last chapter will be continuing for the forseeable future. That said I assume they won't take too long to get the chapter done.

No idea. I know he's new here, but I'm a self-centered asshole, so I have reservations in saying that Lingwe would have had it translated the day after it was released, was he not swamped.

On the other hand, it could be, as you suggest, an error in the upper staff, and not abcd's fault at all. If this is the case, abcd, I apologize. Otherwise, f*ck you (I'm kidding! Damn! It's all cool.)

Abcd does do the translation, but only posts it in the staff forum. You may want to consider asking him personally if he will start posting it in the public forum with a disclaimer so that people can read the script before the scanlation is out.

The raws look nice, but I really wish that it wasn't a filler. Hopefully we get some action soon. I'm thinking that, and this was theorized before- I remember reading it, there will be another filler chapter, but at the end something of extreme importance will occur.

Really it has been a long time, a league of evil monsters that's large enough to have frickin' branches should have been able to respond for the earlier ransacking of one of their said branches.

Unless they are just have a big debate over who should have the right to kill them all. I think we might see a serious chapter about Gin in the near future. Seeing how he was really the major ransacker, Tsukune and crew will likely follow or get caught up in the mess when they go after Gin.

Key Point: I'm guessing, Ghoul Tsukune resurfacing soon, that or vampire Tsukune, The cross protecting the schools barrier becoming threatened. (And better yet, I am probably wrong on all counts of guessing.)

Anyway, I, being the incredibly handsome member of this community who originally theorized your supported theory, do agree with you that it will probably happen, though not soon; likely within the next four chapters. You have to think of the manga game in terms of Tankobon volumes; when do you want to put the major cliffhanger: at the middle, or the end of the volume? It would be safe to assume that chapter 23 (title: The Mafia Fag from China!) was the start of the current volume. That said, the volumes generally cover about 5 chapters, so I would predict things heating up around chapter 26 or chapter 27.

Hmm, considering that Volume 5 covered Sun's arc(ending at chapter 22), you may be right about that Ty. However each volume go in 4 chapter intervols, so I'm counting them up now.

vol. 2. chapters 5 - 8 (Kokoa cover)
vol. 3. chapters 9 - 12 (Mizore cover)

He's been doing pretty well in getting a handle on his youki. But what if he has to go all-out against a threat? He's still nowhere near Moka's level of proficiency. He might have to tap into that hidden "strength" to beat down a serious bad guy, despite the danger to himself.

So, yeah, I agree. We might see the nastier side of Tsukune Aono make a grand entrance into a fight. With him better able to handle himself in a skirmish (having picked up some hand-to-hand training from Moka), he promises to be formidable if the ghoul awakens again.

Well, I was just basing that off the calculated assumption that they would continue with the 4 chapter per volume count. So I didn't know that they actually collected volumes 4 and 5 in extra large tankobons, since the usual collection is 4 per volume as the Wiki lists with all of the first season following this format as well. So forgive my not looking for this first. Now I'll have to go back and correct this in the previous post.

I like seeing action, especially seeing Tsukune become stronger, but it wouldn't matter with me as long as the Manga stops beating around the bush (also halt the pointless filler) and have some real progress with the overall story. Hell, it seems like the story has suddenly forgotten about Fairy Tale.

I don't mind a few fillers one after another here and there. The mangaka is doing it to develop other characters than the main protagonist (Tsukune). In other manga's, they just tell the story, without any character development.

Plus one good side to character development is that all the fanfiction writers have a better idea of what the specific character would say and how they would react to something.

Well that was a ripoff. Basically a manga version of Capu2 Episode 4. At least there was a bit of character development for Yukari.

I totally agree that some action is needed. Tsukune in vampire form is overdue for a comeback alongside neckbites hopefully. Without indicators like that, it feels like Moka and Tsukune's relationship has taken a few steps backwards.

This chapter was kinda awkward. I didn't really like it. Also is it just me, or has the plot of this chapter been used too many times before? Oh well, good thing that this there are two charters and not just one.
