This is by the author of Suzuka. I like the main characters of this story better than Suzuka, and the timeline of this story is the same as Suzuka because one of the side characters lives in the same building as Yamato in the Suzuka storyline iirc.

Anyway, cute girls and shounen romance, so read and discuss!

Some developments in the latest chapters!
I thought that we were closing in on a happy end, but Eba rejected him! Althou they kind of both confessed their feelings and it doesnt seem like they will go chasing after anyone else right now.

what will he do now after this rejection. but the thing is why did she come on the first place? was it so that she planned this after she noticed or thought that he wouldn't confess to her?

I cant realy tell if she was afraid of him confessing or afraid of him not confessing. She is a bit odd, so its not easy to understand what she is realy thinking. It may be that she is actualy thinking more on the long term and dont consider the right now that important. Thus she just want to keep things friendly while planing for them to get together later during univeristy as she did seem rather happy at the prospect of him going to Tokyo to study. I wonder if she will stop avoiding him now and they get to spend time together? She may be afraid of not being able to do what she want if she accepts him as a boyfriend and getting stuck in the village.

[edit]Manga made a time skip ahead until its time for Eba to leave! He asked her to stay thou. Wonder how she will answer? Hmm, I bet on another rejection, but asking him to come to Tokyo later for university.

Well, he asked her to stay, so that would do it if anything does :) I wonder if she dares to ask him why, as he is bound to tell her how he feels then. Hmm, my detailed guess is that she is stunned speachless and then he tells her to foget it as he was just being selfish.

Hm am I the only one thinking that maybe Eba would say something like she has to leave but she'd still come back since this time Haruto showed her the ice flowers which would be like the incident where Eba came back to the town because she remembered that time that Haruto showed her the fireworks. And also I think this manga still wouldn't be ending so am I also the only one expecting a new arc?

Thank goodness.... Chapter 59 was a lot better than I expected.

Hehe, it might not be quite that dramatic. I think its there more to tell us that its not an happy end quite yet and there will be some more complications. I wonder if any of the two will waver in their feelings or if the comlication will be from the outside or some accident like you guys mentioned? I know one complication that is bound to show up, Kanzaki doesnt seem to be too happy with how things turned out. She might make a move now that Eba is away. Eba's stepbrother could be a problem on her end. I think its a good time for a visit to the sister in Tokyo when there is a school break :)

I was quite surpriced by the sudden agreement btw, it was unexpected. I realy thought that she would just leave without saying anything more at that time.

No train wreck! Infanct, everything is looking fine...except something they say in the last pages. I dont know what it is, but its probobly something dramatic. I think the mangaka is realy fond of cliffhangers!

No, Eba's sister Rin called and said that Eba was seeing someone else. How can anyone be sure what's realaly going on when it is already known that Rin is a schemer?

And Eba obviously doesnt know that Rin told him that so doesnt know that he thinks she has left him for another guy. Its quite likely that she was just upset and doesnt intend to break up with him permanently. Its probobly some stupid reason like that behind anyway.

you know this is one of my faves now. well suzuka was one of my faves at first then i got tired of it but i still read it it was my guilty pleasure. lets hope kimi no iru machi doesnt turn into suzuka.
i want an anime of Kimi but they should wait like the end of the year to make it into an anime. that way they have better material to work with. cause i would love to see the anime cover the current arc.

I am rather disapointed in Eba even if I realise its probobly stupidity thats to blame. Its realy stupid beyond belief. Even the sick dude realises its just pity that made her agree and they arent even holding hands so she is essentialy only a girlfriend in name. It would have been better if they atleast had some pity sex!

Now for that little gain so did she break up, lie to and cheat (if we asume she still loves him) on her boyfriend. This is the boy she supposedly loved since she met him as a little girl and moved to his village to meet again. The hurt to him, her own loss of him and quite likely (in reality) permanent loss of their future together. Now, things probobly wont turn out that bad as its a manga story, but she as a person isnt sopposed to know that.

As for her lies, she obviously lied to him in Tokyo and at her last visit in the village. But it probobly goes back further as its likely her entire move back to Tokyo had to do with this. So thier relationship is based on alot of lies.

Now she will problobly be forgiven everything as he loves her. But how about trust? Its not exactly farfetched to asume that she would as easily cheat with actual sex if faced with some sob story. Its not like having an affair in secret would hurt more then what she has done so far.

Now, there arent many good ways for this story to progress. The only one I see that is even marginaly good is if Eba realised herself that she made a mistake and fix things. Sick dude dies or gets well after operation would be too late. She needs to wise up before that as else to make clear wich person is more important to her. Its pretty obvious that she is wavering, so its not impossible.

The biggest risk is the sick guy, who most likely had no idea that she already had a boyfriend when he told his sob story and begged her to become his girlfriend and thus is likely to let her go now that he knows. The problem with him doing that is that it will leave doubt about who she realy cares about most. A relationship with based in doubt and mistrust isnt likely to go well, even if there is love involved.

Our Hero could stear things in the right way by telling the sick dude that if he gets the operation then he will give up on Eba if he cant steal her before the operation. That way so wont the sick dude have to skip the operation as he probobly rightly asumes that Eba would leave him afterwards, so he wants to keep her for as long as possible. Out Hero gets the benifit of knowing how she feels and only loses the option to compete with a dead dude or the possibility of the dude getting sick again in the future and a repeat of the same.

In the end so is it probobly a good thing that none of the involved seems to realise all these points as that would obviously cause even more pain for everyone. I guess ignorance is bliss sometimes. But its a bit sad that an actual happy end seems out of the question and this despite aparent mutual love between the hero and heroin. At best so can we hope for a less then promising future relationship.
